I'm usually a glass half-full guy, but the title of TR's piece "... Don't mail in the final 10 games' seems to be exactly what they did on sunday. I think they need to bring up some of the Springfield guys (e.g. Savard, Moore, etc.)--that mlight not be fair to the AHL team since they're in the playoffs, but why play Moreau, Clark et. al. when they're not going to be back anyway?

Haha...thanks for the comic relief this morning. Only the CBJ would invest so much energy to accomplish the goal of getting 2 points out of 8th. Wow.

Why not, that's what they've been doing the last month or so, and that was when it really COUNTED.

Does anyone care what they do now? Losing might get rid of Howsam and get us a real GM and a higher draft pick, I'd call those worthwhile goals!

Correct me if I'm wrong- but isn't this the same article from the past umpteen years- just the date has changed?? Sure seems like it...

A hockey coach using the word "precious?"

That ranks right up there with "fragile."

Do like they do in baseball, bring up as many young kids as possible and bench the overpaid, overrated, missing in action Rick Nash. He shows up to play in about one out of every 4-6 games.

Brassard's got it wrong, they don't owe the fans a strong finish - they owe the fans a winner and a playoff berth. Something that we can be proud of. Instead we finish close to the cellar yet again and continue to be the laughing stock of the NHL. When is managment going to step up and get us real NHL players instead of these pretenders? Maybe if CBJ had qualityf front office we would get quality on the ice. The GM can't make a decision to save his soul and the President has no NHL experience beyond the CBJ - WHY ARE THEY STILL EMPLOYED? Would JP continue to employ them at Worthington Industries if the failed to produce as the have with this team? The answer is no and JP needs to step up and make a change. FANS ARE TIRED OF EMPTY PROMISES - IT'S TIME TO DELIVER OR WE AREN'T GOING TO SUPPORT THIS TEAM ANYMORE.

I can't believe the players were so tired they could barely skate and carry their sticks on Sunday afternoon. They couldn't find the energy to play a back to back game? They flew home from Minneapolis and slept in their own beds on Saturday night. You Chill and Owl fans ought to remember when your team played three games in a row on the weekend, some of them against my old Toledo teams in the IHL and ECHL. Those teams gave more effort than the Blue Jackets do. That Sunday game was mailed in, and most of the rest of the season will be mailed in. Any Jacket caught mailing it in should not be back next year.

I'm tired of reading stupid articles like this, how about ripping the CBJ from Howson not making any significant moves last summer. Hopefully this summer he can keep Upshall who seems to fit in well and maybe he can go after an actual "captain" and allow Nash to wear the "A" and just play. How about firing all the scouting staff and replacing them with people who can actually find talent. And lastly stop coddling this team and hold them accountable all season long and if players don't like it then hit the road.

Word is they were too tired because after they flew home on Saturday many attended the Lil Wayne concert at the arena that went on until midnight. Seems to me if your in a playoff chase and you're playing back-to-back games you shouldn't be out partying the night before. This is the type of professionals we have playing for the CBJ.

There's some good hockey within driving distance of Columbus, playoff tickets are available for Pittsburgh and Detroit.

Time to clean house and start over. Trade Rick Nash while he has some value. The guy stands around and does NOTHING when he does not have the puck.

At this point, this team is going to have to win me back. I did not attend a game for the first time since they have been here.

They must have been partying until sunrise, too.
