The Buffalo Sabres have traded Brian Campbell and a seventh round pick to the San Jose Sharks for forward Steve Bernier and a first round pick next year.

The reason why none of our teams, except the Buffalo LaCrosse team wins is because they ALWAYS trade our good players thinking the grass is always greener with another player. Our teams never get to jell to the point of being major winners. Everytime they get to a contention spot, they change the line up whether it is the Sabres or the Bills. Last year and this year are perfect examples of this and it is no wonder we loose interest when they get rid of the people that contribute to the community as well as the team. Money should not always be the reason to trade someone.

Another example of the Sabres'being unwilling and/or unable to compete in the marketplace to keep their quality players. It is just unrealistic to have this happen time after time, and in exactly the same manner. Too Bad!!!

Ian, there is thing called a salary cap and it has nothing to do with the marketplace.

For the 2nd Year in a row the Sabres have lost another Valuable Team Player. Why???? I think it is because the team Managment did not want to pay Campbell the 5 1/2 - 6 1/2 Million plus a long term contract. Personally Team Management, could care less what the fans think. I think it's time to re-invent the wheel!!!!

Campbell was a big loss to Buffalo. San Jose will be the toughest to beat this year I think. But the Ducks will be awesome so I say GO DUCKS!
