What another big mistake to acquire this bird. He doesn't want to be here and he has made it known. Can you say Adam Foote? He will be a big distraction for our Team. Gte rid of him now.

So we finally get a true number one center and people still complain. Give me a break. He scores 30+ goals a year, and your still complaining. He will be fine once he gets here. Now go crawl back into your hole "Season Ticket Holder"

Another dude who totally doesnt want to be in Cbus LOL. I say trade Nash. Its not like having him is making us better. Trade him for a goalie. Or maybe a cardboard cutout of a goalie. Anything would be better then Steve Mason at this point. Whatever, not like any of it matters. Another couple season of losing hockey and they team will be relocated. Just like the dispatch wants eh? Hoooo dang, yeah I said it.

Would Carter have given Toronto, Chicago or Boston the silent treatment? I highly doubt it.

Despite what he says publically, read the fans comments and know many are still concerned. It was disrespectful to the Blue Jackets and insulting to the fans.

I still applaud Howson for doing something bold adn believe it's a good move if the guy who did all of those great things in Philly is the same guy here.

Can you blame him? We're talking about a miserable sports town, your own coach said " Columbus is not a hockey town", that sums it up! Seattle or bust!

Dave Shultz? Really? Most of your hockey readers hadn't even been born by 1976.

(BTW, speaking of vintage Flyers, remember the two-hander Bobby Clarke put on Kharmalov's ankle during the Hockey Summit...BRUTAL!! Ol' time hockey, ay?)

Why should anyone feel sorry for a player who makes millions of dollars, has to practice for 45 minutes a day, and gets to play a fun game and then retire with a great deal of money?

By the way, Rob Oller... Carter gets three months to move and he isn't working at the moment but getting paid.

Maybe you should have people send their human emotions to the people struggling to make ends meet and working multiple jobs to feed their family rather than have people take pity on millionaires who don't have to work for a living.

Also, Schultz' era the players didn't get paid as well but many stay in America after working here or got good jobs given to them in hockey operations after their careers.

Sports writers and pro athletes are the biggest crybabies around these days.

You remind me of someone I once knew. A crazy, nutty, b!t(ch)y Georgia-girl who I took to an Atlanta Braves game once in Atlanta, who cheered for the Phillies that night. I knew here two years at that point and NEVER ONCE had she mentioned she was a Phillie-fan.

Her mother did the game thing at a Columbus Clipper game against the Louisville Riverbats and that crazy winch was from Florida and cared nothing about EITHER team.

It became evident that both of those weird-a$S women were just vying for attention.....much like you in this forum. Insecurity running rampant.

So I guess if this were a baseball story, you wouldn't talk to Johnny Bench or Thurman Munson because some kids wouldn't know them?

You are the insecure ones, pleading, begging your only pro franchise from leaving because it would put the last nail in the coffin in that joke of an entertainment district you people call the arena area. I understand, when all you have is some disgraced college football program root for in your pathetic town, you get a lot of insecure, pathetic, inferiority complex ridden hillbillys like yourself and the others in your pitiful one horse town.

Case in point to my initial response, I'm not even a hockey fan. I don't care in the Jackets stay or not. You don't know anything about me but I'll guarantee I have more college degrees than you, I've experienced more communities than you, and possess several times more intelligence than you.

As for OSU football, the only thing that was disgraceful was Tress lying about what he knew.

You proved my point though that you're only on here because you're the insecure one and you're hiding behind a computer to talk smack. I'd be more than happy to meet you face-to-face to prove that you're chicken-$h!(t). I'll bet I'm the only one who would show up without a weapon too.

Silly cowtowner you're nothing but a joke with a BIG lil-weenie complex. You can't support pro sports, your only college in town is the laughing stock of the state and seriously what real city has to hire a marketing company to help them with their non-existant image? Who? Who? Cowlumbus...... that's who! The rest of Ohio knows you really do have an image...... Ohio's Cowtown.

Why is everyone arguing about stupid stuff like what kind of town this is? Im proud of Columbus, and even the Blue Jackets. Yeah, they havent done much in the 10 years they have been around, but so what? Its all about the future at this point, and im glad we landed Carter. Rich pro or not, he is still human, and he has feelings, and emotions like every other person. This forum is for fans, and then you get attention seeking idiots who post moronic comments about what a pathetic town this is. No one cares about your opinon, and no one ever will. Im even sure no one cares what I think either, but im not the one making childish comments about a great city that takes pride in there only pro team, and powerhouse college football program. Let haters hate, because thats what they do. I LOVE Columbus, and thats what matters to me. Go drink more hateraid, and try to get a life while your at it. GO JACKETS!!

Hmm for this city to be full of jocks let's list some facts.
Largest city in the midwest.
15th largest city in the nation.
Home to the largest campus in the nation ( THE Ohio State University)
Home to Netjets regional headquarters. The largest private jet company in the WORLD.
Home to battelle memorial institute, the largest private research foundation in the country.
The columbus zoo. Which is the number 1 rated zoo in the country.
Oh and we have put the most presidents in the whitehouse as a state (7)
And the f*cked up fact columbus is also in the top 5 for a terrorist attack due to the fact that within a 550 mile radius we are within 80% of the countries population. And the state is top 5 in polution. And there are also 5 nuclear power plants in the state too.

In my opinion that's not bad for a bunch if hicks with horrible sports teams. But OSU will always be a powerhouse and nowhere near as bad as Miami. The blue jackets one day will be dominant. I've given up on the browns and bengals. The cavs suck. But hey at least we have the reds and indians.

But im just another hillbilly hick so what do I know........
