Except of course he's absolutely correct. Long term deals for athletes who have suffered dangerous injuries are fiscal insanity. Athletes are paid for what you hope they will do,not what they have already done and been fairly compensated for. This also applies to athletes who have used PEDS. See Arod who has been in decline for now three years with an assortment of injuries ,but still has four more at a price reserved for the top players. Which he is not!
