Penalty box march goes on

Full story: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

Sunrise - It may have just been a preseason game, but the Panthers' parade to the penalty box Wednesday night infuriated coach Jacques Martin, perhaps because he saw it happen so many times last season.

Ok Martin, here we go. This is exactly what's going to tick me off this year. A combination of inconsistent play, lack of effort, and stupid penalties. This is on you to correct. You've done a decent job as GM (playing with the cards Cohen has dealt you). So now it's time to be the coach.

Sounds exactly like an article that would have been written last year. Mezei and Salei, my two favorites!...ugh. Let's get it ON already.

how about the last 2 years. It's a shame that it's so common for the panthers to play a full 12 out of 20 minutes in the box that one game of careless play and everyone starts talkking about the panthers of old despite the great preseason they are having.

Let's hope this year we're a little more disciplined and can eliminate the inconsistent play, carry the preseason wins into the season.

Looks like the same old, same old. Tuesday's game they did everything right, yesterday, same old same old. Some things never change. I am afraid to say that they still have not learned to keep skating and not get lazy. Apparently they still have not gotten it. this year will be same old, same old if they keep this up which is probably what they will do. Playoffs? I don't think so. Same old, same old.

Wounded Panther said it best. This club seriously lacks a commitment to excellence when it comes to leaving everything on the ice. Jokinen is a good mentor, but he cannot do it all. When you look at teams like Detroit, they are radically different in how hard they skate and the discipline and effort they leave on the ice. Martin is going to have to come down hard on the players that don't show up to play. Just benching them may not even work. Unfortunately confrontation is not his strong suit so it will be interesting to see if he shows some nuts or sells out again with lame excuses for losing.

Panthers? Hockey is no longer a sport worth mentioning since Bettman destroyed it.

The panthers arent the only team that goes to the box alot. The game is soo open now and scoring is so high that its tough for defensemen alot of the time. Its gonna take awhile for D-men to be able to adapt to the new NHL, then the game will be more balanced, in my opinion.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Capricorn

A certain person is strong-willed with the Full Moon in your emotional house of others. It's a lunar eclipse too, so this could lead to some ructions in which everyone becomes firmly entrenched in their own opinions and refuses to acknowledge anyone else's point of view. Get the arguments out of the way early on, so you can then concentrate on having a really enjoyable New Year's Eve.
