Um, Ortiz was released outright by the Twins and Santana, well, he plays in New York. One out of three ain't bad ...

This has got to be a joke. Gabby is a no show? Guess you can't see past one series - must be T-puppy fans; Crosby still scores when ppl are gunning for him - of course he does, Pitt has more then one pure scorer; Rolston a one trick pony - maybe put that one trick still put 30+ biscuits in the net; Team of 18k suckers - yeah a bunch of suckers that go to Wild games only because of what DR does, not one real hockey fan in the bunch I'm sure. I know that no one would go to a NHL game to watch hoceky; Demitra is old with no heart - hmm an offensive wing playing out of position for the better of the team without whinning and he has no heart?; New owner isn't giving the $$$ to make this team a championship team? That's right he didn't offer to pony up millions to Hossea.
You all are forgetting why Hossea and Gabby and the rest of the GREAT players don't want to play in Minny - it's the system. They want to do what they are good at, they want to play Hockey and win Championships. They don't want to play out of position; they don't want to the Fridge as a first line winger; they don't want Steph as a third liner; they want Steph on their team, but as an energy guy off the fourth line; they want Kouiv as a top line center, not a third line checker; they want Butch feeding them from the circles when the third line comes out; they want to play with linemates, teammates they can get to know, teammates that they can predict. Want the Wild to move forward - get a new coach, or get one of the greatest hockey minds in History to be willing to try something new. Give him the players he needs to bring back the glory days of the Montreal, not the glory days of the Devils!

If you are smart you sign Gaborik. He is a great player that can lead a team.

Good. Let him go. He's been an unhealthy whiner since 2000. Let's try to Herschel Walker someone.
MN teams never seem to come ahead with trades. We might end up doing worse with whoever we pick up.

If the Wild trade Gaborik, the Xcel Energy Center will no longer sell out for every game. It's about time the club spent a few bucks and brought in some talented NHL players. This off-season has been a disaster. There's no way this roster wins another division title. The Wild make the cheap Twins look like big spenders. Boo hiss to the Wild management!

YES! YES! As an Oilers fan I am subjected to eight games a frickin year versus the Mild. At least this year that is reduced to six. Boo Hiss, indeed.

If the Wild do decide to trade Marian I hope they will get another franchise forward instead of trying on of those mickey mouse trades like the Hossa-Pitsburg deal. 1 franchise forward in exchange for 3 third liners, 1 prospect and a draft pick...that would be lame. Maybe a Marian Gaborik in exchange for Rick Nash would be reasonable. At least Nash would be a decent attitude in the locker room and a huge talent without injury problems. It does not look like the Wild have another franchise player in their farm system so trading Gaborik for two top 6 forwards would be a little cheesy.

Just an observation, but I don't think the Mild are going to get Nash for Gaborik who rarely plays a full season.

He's just a big loser who sits and whines for money. Gaborik:"I wan't to go play with my slovokian buddy in vancouver." He's worth crap, trade him to Atlanta for Kolvachuk, a 50 goal scorer. It will work
