Crosby vs. Ovechkin more meaningful

For the last week the NHL has been trumpeting tonight's game as the first prime-time, nationally televised game on Versus between the Penguins' Sidney Crosby and the Washington Capitals' Alex Ovechkin.

Hockey is a TEAM sport. The NHL's insistant marketing which spotlights star v. star is obnoxious.

Crosby and Ovechkin sell more jerseys than anybody, so NHL gives them the spotlight.

The game itself was fun tho.

doesnt matter if he doesnt hit, he gets hit more than anyone... and still puts up 120 pts.

Now that crosby has the first year jitters out, its all down hill. Ovechkin will probably never make playoffs or have a chance at a cup unless he gets on a legitimately decent team. He is a great player but not good enough to have the impact of a Mario or Gretzky .

Yeah what happened to Ovechkin he was non exsistent all year.. Oh well maybe he is just another Yashin!!
Yashin plays well but not worth the hype he came in with that's for sure.
