Donavan may have a couple miles left on him yet. He was not used properly in D.C.

If you are not going to be a top contender in the NFC, than you might as well go down with a young QB who can learn and develop from his experience.

It really does no good for the future of your franchise to bring in a washed up veteran QB to lead your team to an 8-8 record, at best.

Go with a young QB and let him get some experience.

Let a veteran run the offense while the young QB is groomed this sounds alot like the Bret Farve experiment. and you see what happened I hope the management does whats best for the team to win

You make a statement that stupid and then end with losers? Try looking in the mirror. Ignorant trolls should not speak unless spoken to.

Shooter to appear on biggest loser? It only makes sense. Walters who has ballooned to over 600 lbs after starting his controversial bacon only diet seems destined to appear on the show. In fact the only hindrance is that Walters has not walked over a 1/4 mile in 40 years.

Ever heard of a lockout Charlie? You can trade draft picks but not players.

'Mcnabb could be acquired for a fifth round pick from the Redskins in next years draft who might even release him."

Seriously? Vikings are going to wait till 2012 to trade for McNabb?

Have you seen McNabb play lately? Worse than Favre. McNabb = fat i.e. overweight, can't run, can't read, can't see and can't throw!

How do you still have a job?

I think you must be a Packer fan!

Shooter do you homework...and stop making crap up...this has been debunked now for months...the general consensus on McNabb is that he's washed up! Frazier has made it clear...they are going after a franchise QB in this years draft.

The Vikings need to make a call, are they in re-building mode, or are they going to make one last charge with a team that seems quite a ways away...as long as their denial (that they are ready for a re-build) continues, they will dig themselves into a deeper hole...

It would make no sense to trade for McNabb. He would be a step down from Favre -- and we KNOW how much you like Favre, now don't we, Charlie?

But what would be the point of wasting a second-round draft pick this year on a QB? If there are any strong candidates in this year's draft to become starting QBs, they will be gone before the second round. In essence, then, the Vikings would be using a draft pick on a QB that they KNOW won't be of help to the team when that pick could provide help to the offensive or defensive lines.

Basically, if there's not a franchise QB available for them to select with their first-round pick, don't bother wasting a high-round pick on a QB this season!
