Minnesota Vikings get two prime-time games

The Minnesota Vikings will open on the road at San Diego, will get two prime-time games and will play six of their last seven games indoors - assuming, of course, the Metrodome remains playable next season, unlike the end of last season. Full Story

Ha. It's great to see all the optimistic Queens fans posting here (snicker). It must be sad to think your team is already done and it's only April. Of course 1 of your primetime games is against the Pack. Just think on Nov 14, that will be 2 games in 3 weeks that you'll be playing THE SUPER BOWL CHAMPS baby! Go Pack, back to back!
..........Uh...sory smelly cheese. There will be no back to back. I, for one, look forward to playing the Pacqueers. The Vikes will definitely win the home game! And, on the other game at Lamebeau, the Vikes have a bye before they play.

<quoted text> How 'bout you move to LA and we would not have to read your pathetic comments ever again. No SB, true. But far from a pathetic team. The Vikes have been to the playoffs more times than any other (since the merger)except for Dallas.

Viking fans are such a stretch. They find the most meaningless things to "puff" about. One day they'll realize that it's not about just showing up and talking .... you have to win, it's about winning something.

We should start the season with The Super Bowl and give the Vikings an automatic berth. That's the only way they'll get into it.

You should really learn how to spell "sorry". You know, sorry, like your football team. You think you got spanked twice last year (which you did) by the Pack, wait till this year. Delusional ViQueer fan. LOL!

This will be an interesting year for the Purple gang to say the least.(I can't bring myself to call them the new version "Purple People Eaters".) I'm surprised that they got two prime time games. They should count themselves lucky.

The main reason they got even that many is probably because they have a a new head coach as well as a linebacker coach who were winners with the Bears during their playing days.(I bet ol' Iron Mike Ditka likes seeing his former players coaching a divisional rival.)

In any case, I'm not going to hold my breath until this lockout nonsense is favorably resolved. Until then, us diehard fans of Minnesota's sports teams will have to break out the old highlights videos. At least we have the 1987 and 1991 Twins to reminisce about.

If there is no season I am all for ErieVikeFan playing GBFan on Madden 2011. Then again that would be unfair to EVF because Favre destroyed the Queens stats. If it were to be fair it would have to be Madden 1970 or thereabouts. Thats the last time they were competitive

Spanked twice last year!? Just so you know, the first game came down to the last play, so wouldn't necessarily call that a spanking. Besides who "spanked" your team twice the year before!? That's right, who cares, that's the past, this is a new season and anything can happen, if of course there is a season. Yes just wait til this year, new coach, new qb, new system, taking out the defending champs at least once is the way I see it.

...new coach, new qb, new system = 3-13 at best. 0 against the Pack. Quit living in the past. Who's the CURRENT Super Bowl Champs?

Let me guess, your prediction for the Pack is undefeated and winning the super bowl again, right? Fat chance of that happening, since they were 1 punt away from being knocked out of the playoffs last year. Your team got on a run at the right time, they still don't have a running game and their defense is still suspect, Rodgers can't continue to take beatings without the run helping him. 3-13 for the Vikes, really!? You definitely are blinded by the green and gold, at worst they will go 7-9, with at least one of those seven coming against the Pack.

The fact of the matter is that the vikings always play the Pack tough, they may just squeak one out. The more "realistic" issue is that the vikes are going nowhere fast

Oh, we'll just wait. We always do. In fact, we just CAN'T WAIT. New this, new that ... same OLD stadium, same old Vikings and same old results ....... losers.

I love it when someone plays the old "fact of the matter is" card. Here's a fact of the matter:

.... losing 31-3 at home is NOT playing someone tough. That's a FACT. It's also barely showing up to play.

*Week 1 = at chargers start off slow, new QB number1 passD (Vikes) 0-1
*Week 2 = bucs hard game could go either way (Vikes) 1-1 or 0-2
*Week 3 = lions vikes havent lost to 'em at home for 13 straight years (Vikes) 2-1 or 1-2
*Week 4 = at Chiefs not that great but if the vikesQB isn't doing well 3-1, 2-2
*Week 5 = Cardinals easy win 4-1or 3-2
*Week 6 = at Bears always struggle against 'em lose in chicago 4-2 or 3-3
*Week 7 = fudgies Vikes d is top notch lb's great secondary terrible, look if it gets to oh hey driver go for the endzone then yeah lose (btw this depends on griffin and cook) so close game 5-2, 4-3, 3-4
*Week 8 = panthers vikes will slaughter 'em 6-2, 5-3, 4-4
*Week 9 BYE
*Week 10 at fudge pack (they'll split the 2games) 7-2, 6-3, 5-4, 4-5
*Week 11 raiders won 0 on road last year new coach might lose their best cb etc win 8-2, 7-3, 6-4, 5-5
*Week 12 at Falcons NFC #1 seed last year lose if their healthy 8-3, 7-4, 6-5, 5-6
*Week 13 broncos definite win 9-3, 8-4, 7-5, 6-6
*Week 14 at detroit depends could go either way 10-3, 9-4, 8-5, 7-6, 6-7
*Week 15 Saints if the viking are winning they should win here but if not 11-3, 10-4, 9-5, 8-6, 7-7, 6-8
*Weeks 16 redskins win 11-4, 10-5, 9-6, 8-7, 7-8
*Week 17 bears at home if playoff hopes are alive win 12-4, 11-5, 10-6, 9-7, 8-8, 7-9

most likely though with the leagues 12th hardest schedule they'll finish 10-6 to 7-9

---next year is a rebuilding year so what can you really expect, that and a new coach and new offensive coordinator really hurts with the lockout and the first 3 weeks for the entire NFL will be akward so it will be a strange start to the season

Just as soon as we send the Vikings the entire state budget, we will get the Super Bowl with ticket prices none of us can afford! Then we will be the envy of the WORLD!!!
