So you don't like it when Brett takes the handoff and sticks the ball out there while AD is still 7 yards away? I agree, but if the defense keys on that, he needs to pull it back and fire it down field. That'll learn em.
The play action part of it is fine, but the slow, deliberate telegraphing of the handoff takes away the run part of it. Favre's been doing slow play action for years and even though he's an old dog, the coaches need to teach him new tricks.
The best play action QB in the NFL is Peyton Manning....quick, precise, deceptive.
If they're not improving, they're going backwards.....shore up the pass defense, fine tune the ball handling, and this team can beat anybody.

Actually, Baltimore will be coming to the dome. Steelers on the road after that, then Pukers at Lamblow.
Right you are, Baltimore will be out for blood. Hope they like their own.

CONTINUE TO ENJOY THE RIDE VIKING NATION. AFTER AN EMOTIONAL MONDAY NIGHT WIN THE VIKINGS TOOK CARE OF THE HAPLESS RAMS IN A BUSINESSLIKE FASHION. BRETT CONTINUES TO GET MORE FAMILIAR WITH THE RECEIVERS AND THE DEFENSE MAKES PLAYS WHEN IT MATTERS. TOUGH GAMES AHEAD BUT WINNABLE.

8 and 0 are possible but how probable ? We have to beat GB big time next time. Win at least one between the Steelers and Colts oops I mean that old team now called the Ravens. 7 and 1 will be good.

Yeah, I know what you mean MAYTAG REPAIRMAN LONELY. Unlike the Packers, the NFL Preseason Champions, who get to sip that oh-so-satisfying green-gold Kool-Aid from the Peter King mug.

The play selection on our first drive was great! Did Chilly do that? Even a screen pass got some good yards yesterday.
Whatever happened to the Wildcat formation?
Most of the game Favre got good protection, but it could be more consistent.
Shiancoe held onto the ball, sorry about Harvin.

I agree about Peyton, very deceptive, he does things the right way. I still hate the way he orchestrates at the line of scrimmage though.

When Brett played in GB, didn't they have some crazy fact like Brett's record is 100-2 when the temp is below 32?

I believe he has more carries this year then he did last year after five games.

That's not the point. According to ESPN, he's the league's leading fumbler since the start of LAST season. If they want to eliminate those errors by going for the clean, telegraphed handoff, then it's probably better than risking the turnovers.

Chilly is the weak link of the team and he is butt ugly to boot. I can't look at his dumbness, and ugliness for more than two seconds, then I have change the channel or hit fast forward. Fire chilly, and Madieu Williams, and take T Jackson with you, dumb A.S.S.

people, people, people, when you have a qb like Favre and he did as well as he did last year with the Jets(pre injury) 8-3, actually better in all probability, you have nothing to lose. Better still with Petterson, Schiancoe,Harvin, and the rest of the best. If they don't go 12 and 4 or better I'll be surprised as they're getting better week by week and Favre is not currently injured. Deep into the playoffs or superbowl and I'm betting Superbowl.

Daily Horoscope for January 3

Cancer

No one can accuse you of being a wallflower today! The modern cowboy or cowgirl has a tendency to shoot from the lip and you won't be afraid to tell it like it is. Your response will be quick, and your timing near perfect. If you don't accomplish what you set out to do this morning by the end of the day, it won't be for lack of trying. Getting an 'A' for effort is sometimes better than facing the test.
