Great to have Sidney Rice on our team and good to see his work attitude has stepped up a notch. It sure seemed to make a difference in Shiancoe over the last year and having more than one great receiver for Favre to go to will be only an advantage for the Vikes. I think it turned out for the best the signing of Houshmandzadeh to Seattle instead of the vikes. We would have had to pay him way more than what he is worth. Boy am I pumped about this year! Go Vikes!

Any sports writer who uses the phrase, "Take it to the next level" should be sentenced to a year of listening to athlete criminals repeating "I just want to put it behind me and get on with my life." Please, Sean, you're better than this. Percy and Sidney can be forgiven because they are paid to play football, not to craft sentences. But you are a good writer who should know better.

Rice and Harvin have a ways to go, but one thing I will give them credit for is their downfield blocking. On nearly every run play those guys are busting ass the entire play. That is a good sign.

Keep it up fellas, work on the route running and timing with the ol' Silver Fox and keep getting those W's

Could it be that MAYBE Chili isn't so bad after all? Maybe the talent level was such that an overhaul was necessary. I mean look, he's brought in some outstanding talent and the Wilfs have a pretty generous checkbook. Chili wins some (Peterson) and looses some (Jackson, although he may not be a lost cause yet) But overall this is a very well built team with no flaws. Balance running and passing. There may be a method to his madness.

that will come with reps. i'm sure going from tim tebow to brett favre takes time to make adjustments. he's already made some great catches.

No Jazz, Klink is still the worst coach in football, that hasn't changed. Case in point was that last drive before the half last Sunday. i minute 52 seconds and 3 timeouts against the lousy Rams and they basically take a knee IN FREAKING SANE. the difference is we have more talent now for which i have to give Klink his props. Maybe he would make a good GM. Although i still hate his packer soul and would laugh over his broken and twisted body i have to admit that the evil one is the difference SO FAR that we had been missing. I am enjoying the run i just hope it lasts. VIKINGS RULE

You can post game micro-manage every game for every NFL coach and cherry pick mistakes on a game to game basis. It's dynamic, instant decision action that the coaches go through and any couch coach can after the fact pick away at what went on. What is important is the win loss record and our "worst" coach is undefeated.

I think our present core of receivers are very talented and will be known as one of the best receiving corps in the NFL once the season has ended.

The best in the NFL when the season is over with??? Wow ill be the first to admit its nice to see improvement from last year so we all can thank Favre for that but to say they are anything above average at this point is ridiculous

chllly - if you are listening please let the guys play the whole game and do not play "to not lose" like near the end of the Green Bay game where you almost let them back in. Let the guys play their game on both sides of the ball for the whole game. This is the most exciting team we have had in ages - let them determine their fate and not conservative coaching.

I heard last year that TJack was putting in extra time in the film room and on the field to improve. I hope he's still doing the same this year, just in case the ol' grey fox gets hurt or decides to retire (again) after winning the Super Bowl. Based on what I've seen so far, TJack is again the heir apparent to the keys to this KAO... and I'm honestly not sure how I feel about that.

The story on Carter was that he had a drug and attitude problem in his younger days. The famous quote from (then) Eagles coach Buddy Ryan was that "all he does is catch touchdowns."

Isn't that what you want your wide receiver to do?

like him or not you could do a lot worse than emulating Cris Carter. He didn't turn out too bad on to his way into the HOF.

I don't know about the $1 deal but they got rid of him for drugs and alcohol problems and a poor work ethic.

The rest of the story of course is that he cleaned up and did quite well (especially for us)

im glad to see they are playing good hard nosed football and not giving in to the wildcat. i agree they have to be more determined to finish games when they have the lead. they should never have let GB catch up as much as they did. st. louis was able to run the ball but jackson is a beast of a back but that still concerns me. cant wait to see how the vikes offense does against the baltimore D. i know our defense will throw them a beatdown. vikes #1
