Quarterback Vince Young, now a free agent, could be an inexpensive option for the Raiders.

I'm not buying it. If Carson wants to leave the Raiders it's because they have once again tried to keep from paying him. He took a HUGE "cut" (restructuring) last season with the understanding that this year he would be paid to make up for it and now the Raiders are telling him they don't want to pay him.

I'll believe these reports when I hear it from Carson.

Palmer does not want to be a back-up QB. He wants to lead the team on the field. He wants to be "The Man".

This is quite interesting. I think Flynn might be good for us, but he doesn't have that much experience as a starter

Palmer is the best QB we've had in 30 years.

The only person reporting that Carson wants to leave the Raiders is Mike Silver of Yahoo sports.

Maybe it's true and maybe it's not. If it is true then Carson will leave. He should have no problem doing that.

If Carson leaves I hope we can pick up Flynn.....but a trade would also include us giving up at least 1 draft pick.

Palmer was sitting on the coach because he had no choice. He asked for a trade, and Mike Brown would not allow it. Not one team could sign Palmer without Brown's approval. Hue Jackson had ties to Cinn., and managed to convince Mike Brown to allow a trade (it helped that Andy Dalton was going pretty good at the time). I think that is a little different scenario then him sitting on the coach and no one wanted him.

Mike Silver does not like the Raiders, he likes the 49ers. He was one of those guys who could not understand why Raider fans remained Raider fans in Oakland, when the Raiders were in LA. He worked for the Santa Rosa Democrat (paper) and thought everyone should be 49ers fans. Spent time discredited Raider-lore often. He was one of those guys that was "not allowed" to cover the Raiders, per Al. You really can not trust what he writes or says about the Raiders.
