change of subject and only cause i'm jelouse, how did your 9ers get so good over night? it's obvious harbaugh plays a big role, but?
RAIDERS 2013!!!
I was arguing with PPL. back when Wilson was @ Wisc. I knew the kid had leadership and talent. I also knew he had a 'chip on his shoulder' from PPL. telling him he was to short to be a NFL Qb.

I think E.J. Manuel(this yr.) and Johnny Manziel(next yr.) are gonna surprise some PPL.

_____

I think Flynn is gonna be a good back-up based on his career thus far.

Against small, slow corners. Just because he completed the passes doesn't make him nfl accurate. In college he would throw it places where an nfl DB will be at. The windows are huge in college which he won't get in the nfl. Tim tebow and russel had great college numbers and that doesn't mean they were great pros.

Well Tebow & Russell weren't properly developed either. So how do you
judge a Qb coming outta' college if you don't figure their passing #'s into the equation.

Yeah, I saw it Freddy. Would have liked him to stay. I'm sure the Raiders would also have their version of how negotiations transpired. I wish him luck. He'll need it with Arizona's O-line!

Ya, i missed on CK as well. My opinion was like "meh" sure he is super talented but can he pick up an NFL offense? Resoundingly yes is the answer.

Agree with that. It was mostly Harbaugh getting all the 1st round picks to play like it. This peaked my memory about an interesting article i read about something very similar. Enjoy.

SF had the majority of their key players for years from building through the draft. I think spending 3 first rounders on the o-line helped sure up the run game once they played a few years together. I really think the coaching is what propelled them to a top tier team. I think harbaugh was able to relate with Smith and help the OC Roman build an offense to keep smith from trying to do too much. Then he(imo) coached Kap up to expand the offense further. The GM also has been making good cheap free agent choices like Carlos Rodgers and whitner 2 years back now Namdi this year. Besides goldson, they have been able to lock up the great young guys before they get close to being a free agent which I think is good for morale. I just hope the loss of 4-5 key players doesn't mess them up

I always had my eye on Wilson as well. Especially since his freshman year where he went something like 8 or 10 games without a pick i knew how intelligent he was. I was a little turned off by the drama about him changing schools and everything but i was simply astonished that he could have the most efficient passing year of an QB in CFB history while learning a new offense. Wisconsin was simply sick that year on offense.

I remember draft guys saying "if he was 4 inches taller, he might be picked right after Luck..."

and i always thought that was a bad bad justification.
