The Referees Strike Again

Sep 25, 2012 Full story: www.newyorker.com 51

Last night's Packers-Seahawks game ended in outright controversy. Russell Wilson, Seattle's quarterback, dropped back at the twenty-six-yard line, then kept dropping back, curled around, and finally released the ball from the thirty-nine. Just imagine:

YOU are President

9/11 anniversary is approaching

you have American personnel in UNSTABLE countries in UNSTABLE regions of the world

there have been chronic incidents of attacks in these UNSTABLE nations

do you BEEF UP SECURITY

or do you hire the locals to provide 'security' to American personnel

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

I choose good over bad, more over less, better over worse, wise over foolish and 9/11 anniversary has NOTHING to do with it so I ignore that fact entirely.

Since it may be impossible to protect every diplomat without surrounding them with a battalion of troops, I probably remove some from "unstable" regions of the world as is commonly done by many nations including the U.S.

The NFL,is the Big Loser here!....Its the owners of the teams who created this mess...In this Billion Dollar business, those Refs, deserve to be paid well,as are the players, and the fortunes the owners make!!...This season is ruined..Losers become winners,Coaches being punished, players confused!....But the Cash Flow goes on..and the fans get screwed!

It was the right call, they caught the ball similtamlisly and niether gave up control of the ball, by rule the possesion goe's to the offense.
-
Good call by the offical.

No. The offensive receiver caught the defensive player who caught the ball. Using this logic, every receiver tackled would be an interception.
Awful, awful call

I don't even care that much about the Packer game. The Packers are good enough to get screwed one game. They will still make the playoffs. The problem is that the replacement refs are screwing up EVERY game! It's impossible to say how many outcomes have been reversed. The Packers/Seahawks weren't the only game where it happened, just the most obvious. The integrity of the game is being ruined by the replacement refs. THAT is what needs to be fixed, not the winner of one game!

Fire Condaliza Rice, and listen to the FBI and CIA that I, GW Bush, told to deep-six any investigation that pointed toward my sponsors, Saudi Arabia.

Oops, the Saudis planned , paid for, and staffed the 9/11/01 atatck. OOPS!

People should be steamed everywhere. It's not just the Packers that have been screwed so far and it won't be only the Packers screwed in the next 18 weeks of football. It's not about this one game. I harbor no illusion that the result of this game will change. That won't happen. However, it is a travesty for the entire league if the replacement refs are allowed to continue officiating NFL games.
