Jan 22, 2013 Full story: Rant Sports 86

According to Brian Ethridge of isportstimes.com, "Just when it looked like Tim Tebow would have a very hard time finding an NFL team to sign him in 2013, the San Diego Chargers are rumored to have interest." Tebow is signed with the New York Jets and has two years left on his deal.

Not true, Jesus is the only one who died and went to hell to pay for all of us including you. By the way, He was the only one who was raised from the dead. What other "god" has done that? Also, why is it that when people swear, they use the name of Jesus. That's because we all instinctively know who the real God is. This is the God Tebow serves. We will all find out the truth someday, I pray that you will see the light before then.
There's been about 4000 Gods worshiped thru the ages so i imagine people have some pretty wild stories what their God has accomplished.
When i swear i say " Jesus Tebow ". I saw the light once, but it was a cop with a flashlight in my eyes.

I see that you didn't or can't respond to answer given from the ignorant question you asked.

From now on, don't ask questions you're not prepared to hear the answers to.

That is the main reason Jesus came, to pay for ours sins so that we don't have to. He is the on
Y one who could do that. God sent His Son, the only perfect one who ever lived. He shed his blood and paid for us! He is Good!

LOL so you rubbish the fact that the same stories were told about beings like Jesus thousands of years before Jesus walked the earth?

You rubbish Horace, Krishna, Mithra and over 30 others that we KNOW about with spot on identical stories and mythologies?

Carol, stay in your little christian bubble like they want. Don't ask questions or reference historical facts and truths because it's apparent you've already made up your mind.

Believe it or not, I 've enjoyed our conversation.

Don't be afraid to question the unquestionable because there are legitimate answers to the half truths we've been fed but you must have the courage to take the first step.

I was once in your shoes and I know it's hard questioning what is told to be truth from the moment you could comprehend but I wouldn't change freeing my mind for anything.

I'll make a deal with you, I will agree to disagree if you will live and let live...?

Will do! Strangely, I feel the same way about you and your beliefs.I However, wasn't fed these beliefs from the moment I could comprehend, I sought them out and found them. I know that true Christians should not hate anyone, no matter what they profess. Love, not hate should be the true mark of a Christian. The way I see it, if I am forgiven then I can forgive others. I am and I do. Since I am seen by God through His Son, that makes me perfect and accepted. If God can do that for me, I can certainly do that for you.

Perhaps Teblow can petition the league to provide more ergonomically correct benches on team sidelines and improve the welfare for future generations of benchriders.

You're absolutely right Carol. "True christians" should not hold one ounce of bigotry or hate or contempt or intolerance in them. Period. So why is tebow who claims he's a true christian so revered and loved and followed and glorified by people that say they're true christians when he clearly is against gay and lesbian people, women and their right to choose and has aligned himself with churches that are on record for their hatemongering, intolerance and bigotry?

Personally, I can appreciate Jesus' basic and fundamental teachings of peace, love and letting people choose their own way(timshel - thou mayest misinterpreted as thou shalt)even if it's not what is deemed to be "the way" as it's really nobody's business what one chooses to do especially if it's lawful and doesn't harm anyone else. I think these fraudulent evangelists who whip everyone up into a fear induced frenzy have pushed so many people away from christianity that tebow himself along with the support of the religious right are trying to win back "souls" by coming at them from a different angle.

This isn't about football to tebow. He said it himself. It's about converting and evangelizing by way of the NFL and the platform it grants him. That's another reason why he looks to be on his way out of the NFL. The NFL uses, they don't get used.

You said it yourself about true christians Carol and that's why I've called TT a hypocrite to his own faith from day one because bottom line and by definition that's what he is. I have no issues with TT being an evangelist because he's just one out of millions scaring the mostly uneducated 3rd world people to believe but my main issue is he can't even make his day job a #1 priority and he's been gifted opportunities because of his faith that he doesn't deserve because his skills don't reflect it and that's not fair to the many others before him that had more skill that never got a chance.

One last issue with TT is he can't even stand up for what he believes and one of his own called him out: "I am grateful for men of God like these," Jeffress says in his ten-minute sermon. "[Men] who are willing to stand up and act like men rather than wimping out when it gets a little controversial and an inconvenient thing to stand for the truth. God bless men like that." - http://blogs.browardpalmbeach.com/pulp/2013/0...
