“I think [flexibility] is a great thing”

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin was a bright-eyed, first-year head coach at the NFL Scouting Combine a year ago, but he didn't have a good feel for his team's strengths and weaknesses. via Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

No sh!t Bill, Kimo was a big time pickup. I like Kiesel and he is a great pass rusher but he doesn't stuff the run like Kimo. Joey's play dropped off after Kimo left...go figure he played right behind him. Play after play Kimo stuffed the line and drove them back. That dude was outstanding, still is. When we picked him up they thought he was on the downslide. Lineman can last a lot longer than most players, well into their thirties.
Good morning Bob. Last I heard Kimo was with the Jets after a short stint with the pattycakes. Is he still playing?

I heard our boy Owen "Superman" Schmitt fagged out at the weight bench & dissapointed in some other drills. I think someone set him up with a lump of Kryptonite. LOL !!!

If they go DL, who do they take, and if they go RB, who will be available?

Hey Bill, Kimo played for the jets after he left the burgh, last season he played for the eagles. I'm not sure what his contract was for.

I think that if schmidt is having a lousy combine that is a good thing. We already know that he can play football. A poor showing in indy will make it easier to pick him up in the later rounds.

Yes, we know he can play FB !!! He will look good in the B & G.

Eagles??? OK. I always liked Kimo. Do you think Keissle (sp) was a good replacement?

Hey Jopa ! IMO there is nobody other than Chris Long. Just kidding. There are so decent guys out there. The guys I like they don't have a chance to get.

Justin Smith would be ideal, but he might be worth a bunch of $$$$$ now. Word is the 9ers & the Browns are after him too.

Keisel is one of those guys who is too good to keep off the field. I don't think he is as strong as Kimo but he is way faster. I think they need to use him on the line in a more creative way. Like putting Hoke and Hampton in the middle and splitting Smith and Keisel wide to run a 4-3 sometimes. Mix it up a bit. Once Smith was out the other team ran all over us. With smith in there only option was to run to keisel. It made things easier to shut down. When it was smith hampton kimo they had nowhere to run and it showed.

I hope they make a play for him. That would suck for him to leave the bengals for the brown. We would lose out for sure.

Keisel, to me needs to be used as part of a 4-3 package. When he has to play DT in 3-4 he can jump but not overpower linemen. Kimo was made for the 3-4.

Agreed !!! The D line dropped off some when Kimo left. Keisel for the most part has been alright, but probably would be better in a 4-3. What about McBean? Does anyone see him moving up?

You know what, you and I think alike. We need to get a real squat monster in that position and use Kiesel in another way.

Sounds good Bill! Maybe we'll get him for less money! Who cares what he runs the 40 in?! I'm interested in how he runs the 4 or the 7. I've got another test, lets see how fast he can run 10 yards with a linebacker hanging around his waist. We already got a guy who is fast, now we need some POWER.

I know I'm going to catch hell online for saying it...
I watched the Steelers 3 playoff games and the superbowl last weekend and we really miss the Bus. We need a guy who can't be arm tackled! The Bus was running right through tackles at the end of those games. Last season the opposing D was tackling Willie just as hard in the 4th as the 1st. That stuff didn't happen when Bettis was killing the clock.

You bet Bill and they will try to follow the ravens play book of 2 seasons ago. Power running and some crazy linebackers. Watch them add some big dudes at RB and FB.

If they don't go lineman on the 1st pick, I'm thinking maybe Cromartie at CB, cousin of SD's Cromartie. Tall, quick, and great hands.

Ok Bill, the combine is over and let's hear it. What are the Steelers top 5 picks...any predictions? I'm going to wait and see what happens during the FA period and then go out on a limb.

Hiya Bob. I'm going to wait with you. We still have some major signing to due. BEN, Keomatu, Starks. Nate Washington is due a tender of almost 1.5. I don't think he's worth that. He stepped up a little bit, but not enough.
