Judge it!
Now, this isn't to excuse the terrible play of Pittsburgh's offense which, despite having an All-Pro Running Back, a FUTURE All-Pro Running Back and the hardest working man in the NFL in Mewelde Moore, has no running game at all...
This isn't to excuse Tommy Roethlismaddox giving up a huge interception for a TD, which the Steelers do more magnificently than any team in the league...
This isn't to excuse Limus Sweed dropping yet another perfectly thrown pass for a TD...
Nor is this to excuse the defense giving up completely in the last 5 minutes after pretty much dominating for an entire game - for a second week in a row...
But have there been some rule changes, or were the refs on the Cincinnati payroll, because our guys were getting downright ROBBED by the Cincinnati secondary pretty much all day... I stopped counting after a dozen holding/pass interference infractions noted on replay...

The fact that they're playing bad is a given.
But the question was, "Have there been some rule changes," because despite your contention that this was a "well officiated game," it seemed to me to be anything but. Just enjoy your win and shut your yap unless you have some substance. Every team hits a rough patch, if we can get out of the funk we'll be better for it. If not, then it will be a long season, but they will and always will be the team I root for. |
