Phil Sheridan: How did it all go so bad for Eagles' Andy Reid?

There are 6 comments on the News Observer story from Nov 25, 2012, titled Phil Sheridan: How did it all go so bad for Eagles' Andy Reid?. In it, News Observer reports that:

It is hard to grasp how things have gotten so bad for Andy Reid and the Eagles. A coach who once was reasonably compared to Bill Belichick is now just as reasonably compared to Rich Kotite and Ray Rhodes.

From the article:

It is hard to grasp how things have gotten so bad for Andy Reid and the Eagles.

In trying to figure out how the Eagles became incapable of competitive football against mediocre division rivals, you can't help noticing the whole mess would have been easy to avoid.

The sad thing is, if Reid had simply done the easiest, most obvious thing in most of those situations, the 2012 Eagles would almost certainly be a contending team.

If he'd just let Michael Vick sign elsewhere in 2009 and stuck with the transition from McNabb to Kevin Kolb (or found a successor elsewhere)...

Almost everyone is saying the same thing. "If only" the Eagles hadn't signed the POS dog killer. "If only" they had stayed with Kevin Kolb.

Well too GD bad, asswipes. You were ignorant enough to place your hopes on a ghetto felon who enjoyed savaging and torturing the hell out of innocent animals more than he did dedicating himself to his football career and you got what you deserved. Game over, season over, hopes over for the Eagles. Maybe next decade, idiots. LMGDAO

This was why so many teams passed on the Sociopath POS way back in 2009..the Eagles were suckered into thinking this POS dog killer could lead them to a Super Bowl..don't know how stupid they could be..the Vickster was NEVER a team player, it was always about himself and never about the team..not to mention his wonderful character, killing and torturing dogs most of his adult life..oh and his drugs, knives, guns etc..he does have an impressive rap sheet, however, that doesn't translate into points on the football field! Nice going Lurie, GET A CLUE!!

the eagles showed the same lack of class and morality as their 100mil. crybaby(wawawwbaaaaaabaaawaaaa aa!.)
vick is not equal to dog feces;he is more like what the maggots leave behind.

WE TOLD YOU,WE TOLD YOU,WE TOLD YOU fools, what this monster would do to your team.

He is a team destroyer, and a coach mutilator(along with innocent dogs.)

Atlanta was stuck in the vickmire, till the feds took him off our hands.
The eagles dynAsty of shame and loss will be with you a long, long time. You chose this experiment in evil, knowing what he was. You can now drown in your own fecal pool.
