Other than helping inform the public about the plight of helpless animals, the HSUS is useless. Anyone, and I do mean anyone, who thinks it is a good idea for a derelict who admittedly took part in the hanging, drowning, and beating to death of dogs that weren't aggressive or vicious enough to take part in his dog fighting business, to own another dog, is either seriously naive or not very bright.

This is what the HSUS is all about:
"Despite the words “humane society” in its name, HSUS is not affiliated with local humane societies anywhere in America. It spends tens of millions every year supporting a staff of 700, dozens of lawyers, and a bloated executive pension plan. Yet during the past year, HSUS shared just 1 percent of its multi-million dollar budget with hands-on pet shelters."

There are plenty of legitimate animal aid societies out there that will really use your donations to help animals. The ASPCA is a large national organization that will actually help abused animals.

My email to Mr. Pacelle, felt good to let him know how I feel!!

Mr. Pacelle
I recently read an article in USA Today and on Topix regarding your support of Michael Vick owning a dog..well, I was horrified to read and hear that you as a supposedly normal human being and head of HSUS would support Vick owning a dog, now or anytime in his life..I can only speak for myself and personally this man should never be allowed to own a dog again..a human who did what he did for most of his adult life to dogs is beyond forgiveness..this man is a sociopath..if you look up the word sociopath in the dictionary, you will see that he meets the definition perfectly..
I live in California and I discussed this subject with many of my friends, friends who work in animal rescue, and all agree, the idea of Vick owning a dog again is absolutely crazy..I do not expect a response from you as there is no response to justify Vick owning a dog..you can say all you want about forgiveness and paying his debt to society..all of which may be true, but condoning Vick owning a dog again is not defendable....all I can say is your stance on this speaks volumes of you as a man and volumes of your organization HSUS!

Fail and where do I even begin to correct that horrendous grammar ? No one will listen to those kind of uneducated ramblings. That's why you'll get no response.

Mr. Pacelle's response (see below) is all well & good, but he still didn't address my main point of him not coming out publicly against Vick being allowed to get a dog...all he would say is that he didn't have anything to do with Vick getting the dog..he must have political aspirations..it wasn't only the dog fighting, it was also the killings & torturing..and Vick is allowed another dog..its one thing to serve your time, but to allow this sociopath another dog is crazy!
I’m glad you wrote me. If I just saw the USA Today ad, or read some of the nonsense on the Internet, I’d be concerned, too. I wrote a blog about this on Thursday, to set people straight on it. Please take a look, and let me know if you have further questions. http://hsus.typepad.com/wayne/2012/10/vick-be...
In short, this is a manufactured controversy. No group does more to combat dogfighting than HSUS. In fact, we do more than just about everybody else combined. I did put Vick to work to reach out to urban youth, since that’s a big growth area for dogfighting. I didn’t have a thing to do with Vick getting a dog – that was his decision.
Anyway, take a look, and let me know if you have any questions.
Best,
Wayne Pacelle

First of all, I don't have a "bro". Maybe you do "homeboy", but my siblings are called brothers, not "bros".
Secondly, it's "verbiage" not "verbage". I guess you're not much of a scholar either, are you Einstein ? Also, your childish abbreviations and misuse of punctuation are nothing short of annoying.
Third and most importantly, trite ? Of course it's trite. Most things that won't sink into a moron's head come across that way to the moron. Get real. If you've heard it enough to consider it trite, it's because you're the one not getting the message. That message is, no one cares anymore. When people get together in numbers, they can accomplish a lot. You've never had those numbers and it shows .

Apparently acting delusional is part of your repertoire when it comes to making a difference. That's working well too.
Your "compound words" that aren't truly English are no less childish than using u instead of you.
You also have a reading comprehension problem. Let's try this again. I'm... in... Steeler... Country. Was that slow enough for you, homeboy ?

You, like a lot of other dumbshits on here, make the mistake of assuming that because your ignorantass thinks that way........many other people do too. News flash for ya, little boy, many, many, people do care. I know an oblivious POS like you finds it hard to wrap your ignorant head around that concept but it's a fact. I'll not go into why your "opinion" is ill conceived, suffice it to say, meaningful contributions to a better society by you and those like you, will never be possible.

Now, go back to the cesspool in which you wallow.

Where do I start (LMGDAO).........the only thing you really should consider correcting is your ignorance and pompous-ass sense of superiority.

You idiots who plod through life never having an enlightened grasp on the true meaning of humanity but can do a better job than the average joe relative to expressing your thoughts, do nothing other than illustrate more succinctly how GD oblivious you really are to decent morals, worthwhile character, and the betterment of a kind society.

Now, go play with yourself!
