Although we played lights out first half against the chargers....there is no reason we should have been hanging on at the end. Somehow we have to come out of the half and keep attacking...we were trying to but have to figure out how to do so and not fall vicctim to close games we should be dominating. With all the injuries they had on the Oline...second half should have garnered little results offensivley instead they moved the ball better in the second half. We are playing well and I am happy we headed in the right direction, I just have concerns as I think we have the talent to go deep in the playoffs. Just needto prove it with our remaining games.

We've hit a lot of big road blocks that have hurt our season and Playoff contending teams overcome those road blocks. Even the best of the best have bad games every once in a while. As we all know, Michael Bush is always ready to fill in for McFadden. Matt Shaughnessey was a bigger loss than we expected to be so the DL has been struggling, but seem to be getting better. Losing Jason Campbell was a big hit and getting Carson Palmer up to par hasn't been an easy task since he joined us in the middle of the season, but he seems to have good chemistry with the WRs now especially Moore and Ford. If we at least finish with a winning record I will be happy.

My biggest concern is that this may be Bush's last year with us. I think that if he wants to be a starter then maybe we should pay starter money to him and trade McFadden. McFadden surprisingly stayed healthy most of last year, but I know Bush doesn't want to play second fiddle to McFadden the rest of his career and a lot of teams would love to have Bush as their starter. Retaining him won't be easy this year.

OMG I never thought about Michael Bush potentially leaving. Then again, a lot of teams think that if they have a good run blocking line, then they can stick anybody in the backfield.

In Bush's mind, he has had an unfortunate road. His broken leg coming out of college led to 4th round money and not 1st round money. Also, his first year not counting prevented him from entering free agency before this season (which was a good thing for the Raiders since they did not have the money). Don't be surprised if the Raiders throw money at Bush for his second contract. They will not have to pay a 1st round choice (maybe the next two seasons) and Bush has been a class-act in regards to his situation.

If we are contending for the superbowl by the end of the year, I can see Bush staying, but if we finish mediocore or worse I see him walking.

I think it all comes down to play-calling. Chuck Bresnahan seems to back off in the second half of every game...and potentially struggles with making second half adjustments to counter the adjustments that the offense makes. In my mind he is not a good coordinator and we ousted him in 2003 for a reason.

I can't forget that he was the defensive coordinator for this team when Brett Favre beat us 41-7 on MNF and we had the WORST run defense in all of football. That was the softest Raider defense I had ever seen in my life.

Maybe Rex Ryan will be out at Jets head coach and he'll become our Defensive coordinator. His defenses in Baltimore were some of the best

AND Hue Jackson should know him from his days there...I think they were there together; I don't know I'm not a Ravens fan. Yeah I'd take Rex in a heartbeat for DC
