Williamson broke down the salary cap issue nicely. Now the issue becomes spending that money wisely over the next couple seasons. We are on track to have a chance to start winning again!

aww, look at them all smiling. that's gotta be an old picture! okay, he's fixed the financial situation by firing all the starters. now he has no proven starters for the most part. and they are telling you that there is no 2013 season. there will be financial money to get legitimate starters for 2014.
sooooo 2014 they get rid of the temps?, and start the new legitimate players! they have to learn the new system and we will be 6-10? or better? 8-8? and after that "if" we are at least 8-8, we can start competing! so, 2015?!!! not shabby.
I'M GONNA BE FAT BY THEN!

Keep the faith RM! We have some talent. And some of these guys we signed have a chance to be good if they stay healthy. So yes some are temps, but when the cap opens next season, we will have a little money to get better quality to fill those positions of need. With quality comes less learning curve. Raiders 2013,2014,2015,2016 etc..!!!

i'll tell you what, IMO, palmer and flynn at (qb) would have done this team justice. well, at least for the (O). lucky flynn has been under rodgers for a few yrs and a yr under WILLLLSON! so he has a future. but it would be embarassing if pryor beat him out. THAT, would suck! and of course if that were to happen, you still gotta want pryor to be the man regardless. right now it's like the blind leading the blind! somebody's bound to fall in the hole! the palmer flynn thing was a coulda, wouldah, shouldah, but it didn't happen! just like the destruction of the al davis "commitment to excellence" era. it didn't happen. it ENDED!
there, things are now better and for the future.
i just gotta see it to believe it cause i must be blind! you guys can see, is there "GREEN" grass on the other side? cause all my life i've lived on the DARK SIDE! THAT'S ALL I SEE!
(rest in peace) AL DAVIS.

As Ive stated b-4 True Raiders r Winners n not whiners ! Let the GM n HC do their difficult jobs. Tired hearing yearnin 4 Chucky n pining 4 8-8 seasons! Respect is earned n not granted in any endeavour .I 4 1 am tired of Oakland being ahome 4 malcontents. The guys that left will b missed . But no1 is irreplacable! Raiders 4 Ever!

I think the break down is misleading. He describes Al spending as wild, when he had nothing to do with Palmer's contract. Also, the salary cap was impacted by RMs decision to terminate all the contract of the player's mentioned, moving the money forward into this year. Al had nothing to do with that. It is true that they will have money next year, but I wouldn't count on those "core" players staying. If the player's get an offer that is above market value, RM will not match it. It is not his way. Not to mention, they treat players poorly. Need proof? How many departing players thank Al Davis upon departure, when the man is deceased.

Al had everything to do with Hall's, Walker's, Seymour's, Routt's, etc, etc, bloated contracts Freddy. The man brought us 3 Superbowls many years ago, but all too often recently the players were thanking Al for giving them a 50 million dollar contract instead of the 25 they were expecting. McKenzie will start matching contract offers to worthy players when he has the money to do so i.e. 2014.

Turning around a franchse is like turning around a company. Lots of high priced people get the boot period. You get your hands aound the cash and start to build it wisely by investing in young sharp people. Let it play out for a couple of more years. Everybody said Singletary destroyed the 9'ers. He built the core that went to the superbowl last year. I'd get Austin in the 1st round. You need someone who can take it to the house any time he touches the ball. Raiders seem to have been missing that lately

no i hear you. i think we have gone around in circles with these conversations. some of you think some of us are stuck in the old al davis way and we can't see change for the better. it's not that. any new (gm) and coach has a chance to rebuild "and do a good job of doing it". and NO, it does not have to be done over night. but if new era believes in it? than fix it that's all. even if it takes them all the way to 2016!(but compete every season!) we didn't do that last season and we aren't going to do that this season. that hurts big time! AND yes, i know why we didn't compete, we didn't have the man power. but if that's what they are doing? great i say! just patience right?(lol). ooo kay :)
two moves to to bring the peoples to the stadium. porter and flynn. and later our top draft pick "if" we get our #3?.
RAIDERS OF 2012 AND 2013!!!
