Team needs: Oakland Raiders

Apr 9, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: MSNBC

Could the Oakland Raiders have more draft needs than any other club? Opinions will vary, but the Raiders have to be in the team picture.

So we've added LBs Kevin Burnett, Nick Roach, & Kaluka Maiava; CBs Tracey Porter & Mike Jenkins, DTs Pat Sims & Vance Walker, & DE Jason Hunter.

We've lost DTs Tommy Kelly, Richard Seymour, & Desmond Bryant; DE Matt Shaugnessy, DB Michael Huff, WR Darrius Heyward-Bey, RB Mike Goodson, LBs Phillip Wheeler & Rolando McClain, and P Shane Lechler.

Unsigned are DEs Andre Carter & Dave Tollefson, OG Cooper Carlisle, FS Matt Giordano, and lots of Corners that are still possibilities to return.

It seems to me that we have capable starters for the DL, so I think it may be wiser to go OL with out first two picks.

This guys isn't being talked about very much for whatever reason. In my opinion, the best FS the last two years in college football.

Why didnt we resign shaugnessy?

Raiderd need to trade down our first rounder. That way we get a DT in the first and then a FS in the second. That would be smart!.

Because we didn't have, and he wasn't worth the 25 or 30 million dollars he got. In that order.

are you guys seeing the picture for the draft yet? T_RAIDER say's possibly (O) player. i wouldn't doubt it. mckenzie say's, "best player available". but that could mean o-player, l joeckel, or (d-player), s floyd? and of course there is other top players to pick from. AND, matt flynn is going to need good protection. or, "pryor". and, possibly a " great" wide receiver. we definitely need a "great" (cb) regardless of what we picked up. we filled spots on (D) but yet????? i'm still up in the air with the draft. 16 days away? gett'n closa!

We really haven't done much for the offense so I wouldn't be surprised if Tex is right. McKenzie did say best player available regardless of what the mocks say, so it could go either way

i'm concerned with depth at these positions too. we're good on depth at the LB positions, okay at cb, iffy at receiver, and everywhere else i can think of we're lacking. lots to do lots to do. i like the jenkins and carter signing though. reggie is a madman in that office right now!

Honestly, i have more concerns at RB than any other position. Darren always always gets hurt, do we even have 2 RB's on the roster right now? QB is the most glaring position when it comes to players not being good and it being very obvious, but i think RB may be a close 2nd.

If he's available in round 4 I'd take him. He's ranked about halfway among all safeties entering the draft, so I see him as a late round prospect.

Im loving what reggie is doing he got the front office done and takin care of then he fixed the coaching thing by that i mean we have coaches we never had before when al ran the team and now he is working on the roster i think he is doing a great job yea we are rebuilding so it takes some time like saying goes roam was not built over night so those who question what he has done just take a look at our front office

McKenzie is getting bargain talent at bargain pricing. Allowing more cap space for next season to dump bargain players that aren',t panning out and leaving the cap space to fill with better talent. I think this approach could go either way. But I am leaning towards this being a good approach, only time will tell.

yeah, RB is a concern for me too. like i said, we're filling in the starting gaps, but i think depth gaps still need a lot of work. i mean, the last i heard taiwan Jones is a freaking cb for us now! lol

yeah, i'm not concerned about him being a cb, even reggie said he thinks it suits him better, it's more of a, who the heck is going to backup dmc, cause more than likely he'll go down at some point. history and his aggressive, yet sacrificial running style speak for itself. and i haven't really heard anyone talking about getting a couple guys back there?? maybe Felix Jones or something? i don't know, i'm sure reggie will handle it, i just don't here much talk about it.

Theres still a lot of RBs available like Ahmad Bradshaw, Michael Turner, Peyton Hillis, Beanie Wells, Andre Brown, Kevin Smith, Larod Stephens-Howling, & Jackie Battle. I don't think too many of them will find a home until after the draft though.
