Jan 31, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Silver And Black Pride

It's no secret that the Raiders previous offseason was problematic. Despite the fact that the Raiders had achieved a noteworthy plateau of 8-8 for two consecutive season , the 2012 offseason offered numerous challenges to rookie General Manager Reggie McKenzie.

Huff has never earned the money he's getting paid but has made the occasional big or game saving play. Branch is about average like Huff. Seymour had been a pro bowler but at his age I think his best days are behind him. Kelly has had some really good years and some not so good ones so I'm on the fence about his pay. McClain seems to have regressed each year but changing his coordinator each year I don't think has helped him any plus I lose more respect for him the more trouble he gets into

I've said the same thing about McClain and the changing the coordinator every year myself but his run-ins with the law only hurt himself. I agree with you HC about Seymour and Kelly too. Branch we can't blame Al Davis for because he was signed to his deal by the new regime. Yes Al Davis was definatly overvaluing players like Huff and Routt just because of what position they played.

I don't agree with the overvalue of players. Having said that, if a GM use this statiscal model to base his deciions, it is easy to see how picking at the top of the draft consistently, throws this model out of whack. Until last year, when the league fixed the rookie cap/payout.

I think that was the best thing they did Freddy. No rookie out there is worth top dollar until proven. Just because one was good in college doesn't mean they will be good in the NFL
