Did you hear the report of the ref telling lesean McCoy to step up because he is on his fantasy team? It's pathetic
No, but I heard a side official was suspended or fired for posting that he was a fan of a certain team on his facebook page. I don't recall which team, but these kind of things don't surprise me. They hired people that really should not be doing this job! There are many reasons why they should not be. First, they are't even qualified from a refereeing experience standpoint. They are unfamliar with pro rules. They received minimal training. They can't handle the speed of the game. And when the NFL is desperately looking for people marginally capable of doing the job, you can bet theNFL didn't check them out like they would if they were regulars!

Can the mob be too far behind from paying these refs off to call a game a certain way? Think about it, the NFL exists because of gambling and these ref's are only in it for a couple of games. The payoffs could be huge. Like when the Giants safety separated the TB receiver in the last 30 seconds of the game on a deep pass? They were looking at possession yet the safety hit a defenseless receiver with his helmet. Clearly unsportsmanlike IMO. I had no money on the game but it being in NY you could bet there was a lot of action.
Just sayin there is a huge chance for these D3 refs to get very rich

Yeah, Goodell talks about the "integrity of the game" but doesn't have a problem bringing in refs that have every incentive in the world to throw games or allow one team to cover a spread or help or prevent the over from occurring. They can make WAY more money than they get paid for their temp jobs by making some mistakes that people wouldn't notice too much anyhow. People expect them to blow calls. They may as well get paid for it by making some well selected poor calls!

Lol yeah that ref was a saints fan. These refs are a joke. Though they could be a lot worse, they are still very unqualified

Goodell's reasoning for stomping on the Saint's defense, was to protect the honor and brand of the NFL.....seem's the refs are proving, it's more the profit margins....not for nothing, but every problem, seems like, stems from GREED.....This just in, Vince Young, who signed for $26 million, when drafted....is now broke.....

UT used him for his athletic ability at the college level...not his academic ability (which there was none)...

Irony: his degree was in education

I don't count the Giants out this year. Eli is as good as any QB when he's in a groove (still throws the occasional wounded duck over the flat).
