Full story: BleacherReport

I use the words "as of right now" because running backs normally come into their own in the second or third season. via BleacherReport

How can you say he is the biggest but in the NFL? 8 touchdowns last year coming in the last half of the season once he got used to things and an 88 yard TD reception in the NFL championship game. He also has 4 so far this year. Yes, he is undersized back but not a bust whatsoever. If you would look deeper into his history rather than into his stats so far you would know that he was nearly booed off the field for a better part of his freshman year at USC because he was so bad but look what happened to him after that. This is the NFL, not college and he needs so time to get going

Mabye not the biggest bust in history. Tony Mandarich and Brian Bosworth come to mind...but can you say KiJana Carter?!!!

Come on, Reggie Bush was to be the second coming of Barry Sanders...and the real second coming of Barry is Adrian Peterson. I'm still not pleased my Lions passed on Peterson.

Despite all his miscues, he is still one of the most productive players on this team.

I don't think he is a bust, I think the saints need a power runner to soften the d-line. Duece is always getting hurt, we need a blue collar runner to pair up with Reggie. I think the best is yet to come. Do we remember the Chicago game.... he ran away from the whole defense. In my mind the biggest bust would be Ryan Leaf

I would say ryan leaf but every three commercials I see are Reggie Bush, none of those guys had as much hype as Reggie nor the marketing, and the guy is right this is the nfl not college, but name one great running back that it took time for him to adjust. There isn't one, most great running backs come into the NFL without missing a beat.

Uhh tiki took his time to find him self and bush needs to relax and let the coach find good spot on team as half rb/te and get stronger and run like tiki but he´s a bust so far......

I think bush is a 3rd down back, slot receiver, and kick returner.

If Reggie wasn't productive I'ld say he was a bust, but anyone who know anything about football know that's not the case. reggie isn't a RB,WR,CB,PR, or a KR. He's a football player!! that need to be used more like Hester & Primetime, just find a way to get him the ball and eventually he'll payoff. you can't line him up at the same spot all game move him all over the place to make mismatches and breakdown the defense. But he 's pretty damn good at RB everybody still fear & respect what he might do on the next play so in my book that's no bust.

Bush is a player being used in a system that should have never drafted him.

The Saints are a power running team. It a perfect fit for Deuce McAllister but for Reggie, the growing pains are very evident.

Changes should be made there if they wish to keep him. Behind the line of the Minnesota Vikings, Bush would flourish. In Denver he would be a 1000 yard rusher by mid-season.

Not a bust, but if he stays in NO without major changes made to their offense he will definately turn out to be a waste of obvious talent.

Reggie Bush is a bust! For sixty million, the Saints can get every position that Bush seems to be capable of playing but can't do any of. The best this the Saints can do is cut their losses and make him a wide receiver/return man. At least they would get some value out of him. Let's face it, he would be a better receiver than running back. It would give the Saints a deep threat that can catch unlike Devry Henderson.

Reggie is a horrible running back that wouldn't flourish as a feature back. He had descent stats, but his yards per touch was terrible. An undrafted free agent can get a 1000 yards in Denver with their zone blocking scheme. Bush is overated and overpaid. The Saints could have drafted a quality running back in the fourth round that would do the job that he was brought in for. Trust me that he woulndn't cost sixty million. If you truly know and understand the game of football, then you know that Bush is a bust. If you are looking for a little excitement snap into a Slim-Jim and forget about Reggie Bush. He was a great college back. Emphasis on college. If you pay attention to his highlights, you will notice that they are all against the same three teams. None of which are considered contenders.

Reggie Bush is in the wrong place, so yes, in a sense he has been a bust so far when you consider the hype. I still think he could be a dynamic player with the right team.
