In January, a majority of Industry voters -- all 82 of them -- passed a measure 60-1 to allow the sale of $150 million in bonds to push along Roski's stadium project.
Roski said the stadium complex would be funded through "contractual income," such as bonding partners and other revenue beyond personal wealth.

What part of a $150 million bond measure being sold by the city of Industry is private. Who is going to pay for the interest. Who are the bonding partners.
Yup, totally privately financed.
Stadium is $800 million.........$150 mil is for infrastructure which would have gone in if the other project was built.....so what is your point?

Who are the bonding partners for the stadium itself? Read between the lines.

The infrastructure requirements for the IBC are very different from those of the stadium.

The traffic impacts seem to be very different as well.
HArd to tell as, As CalTrans says, there are no reliable traffic studies.

More people care about it more then what you think. Alot of people just got tired of hearing we're getting a football team, then being disappointed when we don't. I think people are getting hype again, because this is the closes we have been in a long time.

Q: Were your bribes paid cash or electronic transfer?
Q: Did Swiss Bank UBS have any special forms to fill out?
Q:Do you see any hypocrisy in having all CA environmental laws exempted in order to build a Green/Eco friendly stadium?
Q: Are you Obama's NFL Czar?
Q: Boxers or Tighty Whiteys?
Q: Will you have a cameo in Arnie's first movie once he's out of office?

I don't think any cash bribes were paid. Convicted felon Exsenator Frank Hill is paid $5000 a month by the city to advise on the stadium project. Since he spent nearly 4 years in prison for taking a $2,500 bribe in an FBI sting I guess he would be an expert on how to avoid that outcome in the future.

I think all these politicians fell for the publicity value of the "look at all the jobs being created" nonsense. The brother of the assembly speaker is a union boss and they were very much in favor of a large construction project. The wife of Bob Huff (beautiful asian woman) works for Roski and she schmoozes the chinese press. The co-sponsorship of this so called stadium job fair has clouded the reporting of the SGVT newspaper group. The job fair is being held at the Roski's Pan Pacific Hotel which has a colorful history of politicians meeting there for various functions, and after a visit to a special laundry room smiled widely for publicity photos.

I think the job fair is just fake tinsel to make it look like things are moving forward. It is premature, however, because there is no team and no financing in place to built the thing.

There might be a casino on the third floor of the Pan Pacific before this stadium gets built. Perhaps
The Polish Band of Industry Indians can get a permit to operate a casino there. Someone else mentioned that the 710 freeway to the Rose Bowl will be completed before the NFL returns to LA.

So how does Roski Jr. get away from being checked by the environmental inspectors of land? This is illegal and shows the corruption of California's government!. You can't build anything that big without an evironmental report so how does California get away with it?

The project does have an environmental report.

This is a misleading "talking point."

The environmental report oft reffered to is for the same piece of land, but for an entirely different use. The grading will be vastly different, and the bear habitat will be destroyed. Don't worry about the bears, they are not stupid, they will move out of the way.

It was cheaper to push a bill through the legislature (promising jobs) than to write a new report to be in conformity with the law.

It is all for nothing because:

Not at all misleading. An initial report was written for an industrial park, it was supplemented to include the stadium elements. It has met all the requirements of a CEQA EIR. And it has been accepted according to CEQA and is indeed a bona fide EIR.

That is fact.

This will never be known
CEQA does not accept EIRs
It is not a bona fide EIR on its face
