Reggie Bush is a bust, Running Backs don't last long and he is in his 3rd year and he's been hurt most of this year. He has yet to hit an average of 4.0 yards per rush, ha catches a lot of passes but who can't catch 2 yard swing and screen passes? He is an Eric Metcalf/Dave Megget type player, not a Marshal Faulk or LT type. He probably has 5 years left in the league. he will not get faster over the next five years that doesn't happen. he needs to move to slot reciever in a pass happy system just as Eric Metcalf did when he went to the Falcons, that is the only way he will manke his mark on the league, Period.

Reggie is a weapon that keeps defenses from even thinking about blitzing.

Dude, you cannot be lumping Reggie Bush in with these guys who did absolutely nothing for there team, The ONLY!!! knock on Bush is running between the tackles. But as far as punt returns, kick returns, catches out of the backfeild, yards after the catch, and touchdowns, Reggie gets a big fat A+ and if you ask any coach that we've faced when Reggie is in the line up they would say we have to be aware of were he is at all times, especially how Brees loves to flank the ball to the running back out the backfeild.

Trade Reggie, Trade Devery, get rid of Deuce, send them all to the Cheifs for Larry Johnson. LJ and PT would be awesome together, or just make Reggie a full fledge receiver, he may be a Steve Smith type receiver. We need a friggin running game ASAP!!!

I'm watching Reggie right now against Atlanta and he don't look like a bust to me...you just sound like one of those haters.

Listen, the guy is a bust because he was playing against slower guys in college. He looked like the Flash there but the NFL is full of fast players. He will never live up to the expectations we had for him

When AP does the things he has been doing since his rookie year, and you compare him to Reggie Bush you quickly realize "hey maybe he wasnt that special". And we are not hating, just being real. You are biased because you are a saints fan. Also Pierre Thomas is better, and he wasn't even drafted!!!!

I see the point of the article. Not being a Saints fan.. Is Reggie a bigger bust than Ricky Williams. Or was it more the bad trade for Ricky.

Robert Meachem is the biggest 1st round bust on the roster....PERIOD (You must game plan for Bush) any player other teams have to be aware of is not a bust, Now do I think he is earning his money ?(Now that's another story). Most of Reggies TDs is from 20+ yards from the endzone. Who does that ? with some people it takes longer than others. Besides the Saints run blocking is not that good to begin with being that they haven't been doing it very much.

Great to view this article in the future. Reggie Bush was a big part of the Super Bowl winning New Orleans Saints so to answer the question, not only was he not a bust, it was a great pick that eventually led to a ring. Some of the gripes leveled at Bush were being leveled at a third year player, get a grip.

Come on, Reggie Bush was to be the second coming of Barry Sanders...and the real second coming of Barry is Adrian Peterson. I'm still not pleased my Lions passed on Peterson.
I'll tell you what second coming. We'll keep him, and you can join us in watching him win the Who Dat Nation a repeat superbowl next February. Did you happen to watch the Cardinals divisional PLAYOFF game?

Report: Bush will lose his Heisman, and no one else will get it.

Posted by Mike Florio on September 7, 2010 9:31 AM ET

Though it took way too long for the Heisman Trophy Trust to come to the only right decision in the wake of the NCAA's ruling that Saints running back Reggie Bush was ineligible to play college football for USC during the entire college football season in which he ultimately won the award given to the best player in (wait for it) college football, the folks responsible for the most recognized and prestigious individual award in all of football reportedly will be taking back Bush's trophy.

Typical cheating Saint player....
