New England Patriots

Hey, Oakland, does Moss still look old?

Full story: Lowell Sun

On April 29, 2007, Bill Belichick should have been arrested for larceny. That's the day the Patriots stole Randy Moss from the Oakland Raiders.

Yep...my Raiders bend over, grabbed their ankles and took it with that ridiculous trade. Since the year before the Raiders traded Jon Gruden to Tampa Bay, all of their trades have not panned out!! For this upcoming draft when the Raiders will pick within the top five, and trust me they will, they should trade that pick for a veteran QB since they cannot draft worth a damn either!!!

I'm a Raiders fan from back when I was a little kid, George Blanda days to be exact. They have had some excellent rosters and some bad ones as well.

Al Davis is getting old now, but I can tell you that there wasn't anybody that knew any more about football than him.

John Madden and Jon Gruden were both excellent coaches.

I don't know why J Russell is such a disappointment, but if they really do end up with 5 picks as you say, that will be a great help in alot of areas.

ps...they screwed up when they traded Moss, but I think it was something that he wanted.

Hey Sam, I agree.

Regardless of how bad Moss looked, it is fairly obvious to even the most casual observer that Moss was sandbagging that last season in Oakland. He didn't want to play for the Raiders and knew they would find a way to get rid of him if he underperformed.

I would have preferred he acted like a man and fulfilled his contract to Oakland to the best of his ability, then moved on, but his method seems to have worked out for him.

Right about that, like drafting JaMarcus?

Funny how that "piece of crap" left and ended up scoring 25 TD's in one season. But I guess you would suck when your QB is Aaron Brooks and Andrew Walter.

Get a real QB.

Another cluless statement by a Raider fan.

Rd 4, Pick 11, 110 Overall:

CB John Bowie, Cincinnati
From New England for WR Randy Moss

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/stats...

2 year stats (non for 2008): 2 tackles and Raiders have not been above .500 since he was drafted.

TMD-Not every player likes the situation they end up in. I'm sure they have their own reasons.

Yep, it worked out BIG TIME for Moss who is on a team that keeps a winning tradition going. And he can take some of the credit for it.

Whereas, if he stayed with the Raiders, things are he worse now than when he left.

You Faider fans are amazingly blind but reading your comments always gives me a good laugh! Getting rid of Moss was the best thing your DISorganization ever did???For Moss shed a totally disfunctional franchise,(a big difference) and he got Big Al and you black hole fools to take it even deeper in the shorts. Your drafting has sucked for basically the last 10 yrs. w/o exception. Yep you have picked up some talented players a good brick here and there do not make a solid foundation. Your coaching from top down has been in disarray for so long that the lack of communication between them is visible to even Ray Charles. It is truly a shame to see what was once such a great franchise continually circling the drain... a damn shame and no end in sight for several more years...

I'm a big fan but can't agree with you more...The DISorganization all goes back to trading HC Jon Gruden after the 2001 season. Bill Callahan took over a good winning organization, but he wasn't Gruden. Even then, the leadership started slowly fading away...DB Eric Allen & OL Steve Wisnewski retired and long time MLB Greg Biekert was cut after camp in Callahan's first year. The next year Gannon gets hurt and the whole team falls apart. Callahan's fired and long comes Norv Turner and forces Tim Brown, & Jerry Rice out, plus Barret Robbins, Bill Romanowski, Trace Armstrong, Rod Woodson, and Lincoln Kennedy all retired. Then all the young talent that we had that was already showing promise left via FA and others forced trades out and we haven't recovered since. To me it comes down to the Gruden trade because he was a good quality coach that came in and made us a winning team, but he won doing things his way, not Al Davis's; Davis claimed that Gruden's offense lacked entertainment (I thought the slogan was Just Win Baby not Just Win with Entertainment Baby). Because of that, no quality HC that is capable will come in and work for Al Davis, so until Al Davis is gone, all we can do is wait (He looks like he's gonna go any second now) it's just a matter of time.

Very good points... I've said it before and I'll say it again... A.D. needs to wear a chloroform mask from day 1 of the draft to the end of the play-offs... Remove his whimsical, incoherent decision making and you all stand a chance of bringing the Raiders back to the proud franchise they once were. I really would like to see them as serious contenders... as long as they stay 2nd to my team...lol
