It's very clear that Adrian Peterson didn't give a damn about his kid. But how could you when you have zero relationship with him. How sickening!

I agree with you-What a heartless creep!

The NFL MVP learned Friday that a 2-year-old son of his died in South Dakota of injuries from alleged abuse.

"Anything bad, I try to take good from it,'' he said. "That's the way I approach life in all situations. I never thought about not playing.''

Can anyone tell me exactly what "good" can be taken from the death of his son. Peterson is one heartless POS!!

Don't be so harsh. I think his decision was strange and perhaps selfish. However, he is not a heartless creep, no matter how difficult it may be for somme of us to understand this decision. There literally is no "right" way to handle such a loss. He is a man of faith. If you want to understand the comment about taking good from the bad, perhaps you need to ask another person of faith to clarify for you. They seem to always have some saying about "God's will" or some such thing that seems to provide a strangely "positive" take on tragedies like this.

Perhaps you're right-it still doesn't change my opinion of him.
He "says" he is a man of faith. If he had kept his "tool" in his pants this tragedy could have been avoided. This child's death is a direct result of human behavior-not buying the "God's will" stuff.

I don't buy the "God's will" stuff either, but other people do. If you want to understand them, discuss their views with them.

BTW I fail to see the point of blaming Peterson for this tragedy. His having sex that resulted in a child is NOT the cause of this incident. As you said: "this is the direct result of human behavior" - it is not the result of a pregnancy!

That's right. A "man of faith" practices his faith, not knock up women to create an illegitimate child.

He doesn't exactly show outrage... with all the resources at his disposal, he should be angry and wanting to find out how this could happen, instead of being "ready to rock and roll" and play the game.

He's had a couple of arrest and has other illegitimate kids he has no relationship anyway. I agree with the post that says that he's just happy he doesn't have to pay child support anymore -- ha, imagine how the the woman must be feeling, not getting the child support to live off of. It's sickening all the way around.

His actions showed he didn't give a damn about his kid.

Your logic is good just take it one step further "but for his actions"

I agree his responsibility did not begin and end with child support. He has the resources to make sure his kids have whatever they need/want but most importantly that they are well cared for and safe.

The child should NEVER have to suffer - not ever!

It is clear to me he cares only about his own selfish needs.
