John Randle was a pretty darn good DT also<quoted text>Yes, it was the vikings who had the winning percentage - beating on tampa/green bay and usually the bears. just no rings, because our hof QB played worse than dilfer in super bowls. wow, that hurts. And we had Alan Page, the only DT who can be compared with reggie white for my money.
It's one thing for a popular NFL player to sign with a different team, but sometimes it becomes more difficult when that player jumps to a division rival-which is exactly what Greg Jennings did when he left the Green Bay Packers to join the Minnesota Vikings last week.

The Rodgers deal will have a lot to do with how they structure it, cap-wise. Aaron doesn't want to play for a loser, I can assure you. That means coming up with a lot of cash and spreading it over the length of the contract--and the length makes it more/less flexible--though you typically have to take a big cap hit somewhere. That's basically what they did with Brady. I think TT sees the opportunity for that hit as now, before they have to make offers to Raji and Matthews (for 2014). But I'm just speculating. Look for a big payout/hit this coming season which will ease off in the near future. For Aaron, it's really more about stability and guaranteed money.
On a trivial side note, speaking of long-term contracts, I read the other day that Bobby Bonilla (remember him?) is still the highest paid Mets outfielder (retired since 2001).
