Well, what do the Vikes do about Percy now? Think we can do a sign and trade?

I suppose this is the end for Chris Warcraft, too. Maybe Kwill. Robison and Guion should probably go back to backing up. Henderson should be gone. Maybe add another young corner. Offensively, we just need wr's, another qb

Try and get Jennings who prefers indoors, maybe Bowe as well.Put Wright in the slot and trade Harvin for a top corner.get some Qb depth and competition, use the draft for defense,DT,MLB,another cb and depth.

WR's, and possibly shore up the right side of the OL? Dump Jefferson at CB, If Harvin is becoming a team cancer, then trade him. Go defense heavy, in just the NFC north alone, there are players like Rodgers and his multitude of good receivers, Calvin Johnson, and Brandon Marshall to defend against. If the Vikes can get some potentially good receivers, give Ponder one more year.

When are we due to play outdoors? That might make Jennings a scratch, unless he can wait on the leagues best stadium.By the time that stadium is ready,I just feel great things for the Vikings.

Yeah, cynic, I think u are right. Playing in the gopher stadium one year, I believe.

Childress, why go so many free agents rather than the draft? I doubt a top wr will come to the Vikes ground and pound ponder dump pass show, anyway. s Harvin worth a late first round pick? Or second? I am not sure we can trade Harvin unless we extend him.

Oh, cynic, Kluwe was poor this year. Check the average, number of touchbacks, and touchdowns given up. His average is average, rest is garbage. Gonna play field position, gotta hit the coffin corner, gotta have hang time. Kluwe is too worried about video games and gay rights to be bothered to punt well. Shame, seems like a cool guy, but I am almost positive he is gone. Then, he can campaign full time for ray guy, someone who took his job seriously.

2 free agent wr is not a lot.I think we can get free agents.Harvin in a trade is way better than a 1st.Say KC,for example or Buffalo. Both need offense, have DB's.Plus back on the receiver FA thing,I don't see any draftables that will be ready day 1.Vikings always have receiving problems and cover problems.Time to step up and fix it.

Free agent WR's usually don't work out too well. Might be kinda hard to sing them and keep the young core of the team. I would be against big free agent WR signings and I think we'd just end up getting used to get someone a better deal from more of a passing team. SEE: houshmandzadeh

V.Jackson,Marshall,Garcon, all would have looked good in Purple. We need receivers and Bowe,Jennings will fill things out.We need a top CB and Harvin in a trade fits, plus Wright is ideal in the slot.
The Rams drafted plenty of receivers, nothing happened. In my scenario,we can then draft defense and get some Qb for depth and improvement.I await a better plan from all.

Picking up a solid, seasoned receiver in FA works for me. We could spend every draft pick on receiver and still be looking for help next season. Sage should have stayed and Webb either changed back to receiver or cut.
CB, LB, another quality OL, and a competent 2nd QB.
Harrison Smith changed this defense almost overnight. I remember hearing of him and Percy mixing it up in training camp.......the beginning of the end?
Another good draft and we're right there.

I agree on trying to get at least one FA receiver, some mocks have the Vikings going after a WR out of Tenn. Named Cordarelle Patterson. Watched a little film on him and he is fast and elusive ( looks like he can catch a football too ) and has decent size at 6'3" and 205lbs. The negative on him was that his route running needs to be coached/polished up for the NFL level. A good veteran WR can help with that. Keep in mind that these are the observations of a normal fan, I dont pretend to be an NFL scout, coach, or draft analyst like someone else that posts on here. I say its gonna take 2 more drafts to get where we need to be. As far as Peterson getting that much older, its great having and watching a cyborg/beast/freak of nature like AD play for the Vikes, but as long as a team has a RB that can go over the 1,000 yard mark they seem to do okay.

How about Greg Jennings? For the last few months I have been thinking he is heading to MN. He has had injuries this year so you might get him cheaper and I think he is much better than the FAs MN has past on in the past years. He is awesome both on and off the field. I wish the Packers could/would keep him but they don't have the money.

In addition to what you mentioned above the Vikings have to start thinking about the future and recreate a Dline like they have had in the past. They need some beasts upfront and play MN football!

Again, we do not have a throwing quarterback. No shot at a top free agent receiver which is why we couldn't even get one to come for an interview last year. Duh.
Also, wide receiver depth is crazy good this year. We can get a great one in round two. May need to trade up again, but it is worth it. Garvin was hurt most of year, Marshall is a time bomb and v-jac didn't help Tampa win jack with those old bones and cap busting contract.

Dt round 1, wideout round two. I have spoken. Lol

We probably keep Harvin is how spielman is talking. Surprising, and not necessarily true. Again, probably 8 wideouts we'd call a number one the instant their name was called.

I'm back to thinking Harvin's getting dealt. Didn't travel with the team after the "injury", demanded the trade "not about the money". I think the spielman talk i heard was a smokescreen to keep his value up now. Probably the best case is a 2nd in return for him. Ouch. Vikes won without him - went from 6-6 to 10-6 when he went on IR. Does his potential trade mean we have to go WR rd 1? I imagine Spielman will think so.

Percy is a good player but he was hurt & was out for some time. I do think he could have played, his heart isnt with the vikings or he would have got out there. I say get that new rookie coming out of college Stedman Bailey he has the best hands I've seen in a long time.& may be faster then percy. its time to trade harvin maybe to get a better first round draft pick or a later one & a fourth. the vikes need more players & thats a way to fill the need & as we know they dont like to get players through free agency.
