Watch what Kiper and Mortensen say about Ponder. Kiper thinks nothing of him Mort said he did some things not a ringing endorsement from either.

I like WR Justin Hunter, the vikes can stay where their at & still get Hunter. I dont see the need of a receiver like Austin being the vikes have wright & jennings that also play out of the slot. As nice as the thought is of having someone like Austin - the vikings need a wideout, they dont need to add to their list of slot receivers.

lol If someone like E.J. Manuel was still there I dont think I could pass him up. I think Barkley's arm is lot like Ponder's now. & we wouldn't use up a first round pick on him right, so the same can be said about Barkley. there has got to be someone better on the board.

<quoted text>Austin is the best playmaker of the draft. We would have to trade up to get him. As we speak Peterson, Jennings are the only offensive playmakers. That's not enough when every team in our division has a offense full of gamebreaker.
We don't even have a backup for Peterson. I'm not a Gerhart fan.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a gerhart trade before or during the draft?

I think we stay where we're at if Austin somehow falls to #23 then minny has no choice but too take him at #23 he'd likely be BPA anyway and fill a need.... he's equal to or better then the other WRs with 1st rd rates

Gerhart is not needed. Was a waste of a pick. We need a third down who can catch with some wiggle. Why the vikings drafted Gerhart who is a poor mans Peterson without the agility and speed.

I don't think the vikings have the Shanahan guts to draft another QB in the case Ponder can't do the job or gets hurt. My problem with Barkley is he's played sports all his life and he has a pot belly with legs that look like the pillsbury dough boy. I want a QB who looks like an athlete. Ponder is athletic but but he get hurt all the time.

I agree!!....although again I've not completely give up on Ponder ...but if he doesn't take large strides this year then it would be time to move on .... If we did draft a QB I'd take M.Glennon or L.Jones

if you knew what i know about him and his fake g/f, you would think differently about him, he is a fake and fraud which the vikings need to steer clear of. there are better LB's we can take at those positions. plus in the championship game he was no where to be found on the field
