Griffen isn't the answer. Draft a DE or resign Allen I think the Vikings owner likes Allen & wants him stay in minnesota I could see the Vikes working out 3 or 4 year deal with Allen. His play isnt that bad & it's still better then most.

It will be an intelligent idea to resign Jared Allen and keep him. He is a force. His enthusiasm in many defensive plays is positively infectious. He is a leader,

I know that Jarred Allen has a lot of energy, enthusiasm and leadership in him. I am glad that the owner likes him. I would like him to get an extension of 3 to 4 years. He will be a mentor of the young talent in the defensive side.

I agree Allens leadership would be hard to replace. The Vikes have more then enough in cap money to have Allen reitre as a Viking, It's something I would like to see.

Hey Avant!! Long time, no see! Im gonna TRY and have somewhat of an intelligent conversation and put the past outrageous comments aside. At least we agree there are not going to be any earth-shaking moments with the Vikings for awhile, but I am looking to see an improvement, patience is the key. I have high expectations of the new staff. Im truly interested on youre take on the 8th pick, do we take a QB there, or wait till round 2? Either way, can Norv Turner turn the QB we take at either pick and make something of him?

Allen is great guy and great American!

Jared Allen's ‘Homes for Wounded Warriors’ is a non-profit organization created for the sole purpose of raising money to build or modify the homes of America's injured Military Veterans.

Hey viking nation / David Monahan /ezg357…. Do you think Jarod Allen could help you out since you are an injured WAR HERO who received a Purple Heart and a Medal of Honor?

Maybe we can ask him to help you. You should tell him your story!!!! LMFAO!!!!
How is your hand feeling? I hope it is OK and thank you for the great service to our nation!

Oh wait…. STOP …. Never mind.
You made all that up and are a POS loser valor stealing scum bag.

I bet Jared Allen hates you too.

ps- Go FUCK yourself you lying little punk ass bitch.

Ponder is our qb for another year which means another year of watching him get hurt 8 straight years and counting he has missed games to injury. If Sammy Watkins is available when we pick I would pair him with Patterson giving us the best young receivers in the NFL

Too tough to call at this point, too many "ifs" in play right now. Probably not gonna get a chance at the top 2 or 3 QB's available, and Im very nervous at taking Carr at the #8 spot. Barring what is done in free agency, I go with line backer for now. The defense seems to be the most glaring hole in the team right now, and I think Zimmer can fix it. The QB's that are left have talent, but also problems that go with it. Any QB taken is not a day one starter and will need development. Again, counting on Norv Turner to evaluate and do just that.

I read Jacksonville is interested in trading out of the 2 spot..Maybe a shot for Minn. to go grab a qb, or a LT, but it will cost a few picks and if the Vikes fell they have several holes, then trading up prob isnt a great move BUT,if Minn wants that franchise qb to go with a great running back,a great TE, a couple solid WRs in a qb driven league,it may be something to think about

They've also peed down there leg, many times in one day. They have to get it right eventually, but another year of Ponder could force me into early NFL retirement, too many hits to the head.
I think the bEArs were obtuse with the contract given to Cutler. He reeks of failures past, present, and future, he's damn near ready for Speilman.

Please Eric, we have a pro bowl LT going into his third year, why on earth would we move up to replace?
Would GB move up in the first round to select a RB?

Better to trade their second round pick to Pats for Ryan Mallet since he is better than any QB in draft, then trade out of first round pick for a 2,3,4 and anything else they can get for it. With the QB position settled with Mallet they can stockpile picks and fill a few more needs than just the one with the number 2 pick. And since Mallet is a first round value for a second round pick, they can afford to forego using their first pick for a franchise QB and fix the rest of the team. But only if they act quick and beat out Oakland, Minnesota and a few others for Mallets services. Amazed at how blind so many GMs are when answers are right in front of them and at bargain prices.
