Does anybody have a link to free agents that are available?

I'd like to see who the Vikings could possibly pick up.

Best one I've seen. It keeps track of signings too.

This is the dead period. People can be cut and claimed on waivers but free agency doesn't start until Mar 12.

OK, didn't know that for sure.

That means all sorts of topix will come up.

still interesting to watch and see who resigns with their team and who that leaves available. For instance is there any doubt NE locks Wes Welker up.

The good WRs likely to not resign with their teams are Wallace, Bowe, and Jennings.

Yeah, not much is gonna go on football-wise for a bit. But, speaking of a dead period, a new season of " The Walking Dead " starts tomorrow! Woo Hoo !! Sorry for getting off topic.

Talking about tv shows beats talking about basketball. Keep trying to watch but it is so boring on tv. I like a live game and still go to local HS and some college games but it loses something on tv.

Sullivan and Peterson had surgeries.Should be good to go.Mixed signals being given on Harvin, personally I would like to see him stay.If he goes,I would want a young starting CB of =value, not a #1 pick.Their all crap shoots.KC would be a good partner.

Not only does Peterson do the unthinkable by coming back so quick from an ACL but almost sets an all time record for yards in a performance for the ages but he played with hernia in his stomach! That was a total balls to the wall performance from one of the best RB in history.
If i were Minnesota,Not only would i keep Harvin ( migraines and all) but id sign Greg Jennings ( with a few conditions if possible) 3 or 4 years ( hes 30,not real old, but, hasn't played a complete season in 3 years or so) Front load the guaranteed money so your cap number drops,so if he wears down, your not stuck.Jennings had a great career in Green Bay for sure! BUT, as mentioned,he hasnt played a 16 game season in 3 years or so,so hes getting abit beat up but still a deep threat and a great compliment to help out Harvin ( and with your new GRASS surface stadium coming up) that keeps a little more stress off the body.Just a thought.
I will go on record as saying i think Jennings goes to Miami with coach Philbin ( former offensive coord. in GB a few years back) and i dont think Jennings is vindictive toward TedThompson like Favre was,( which is why GB traded him to NYJ,1 to keep him out of Minn. and 2 TT wanted to show Favre who was the boss at that point i believe) AND GB used the pick to trade and draft Clay Mathews,SO basically GB replaced Favre with Aaron Rodgers and used the Favre pick to get Clay Mathews, so id say it worked out rather well.

Worked out real well.I'm already on record for wanting Jennings but you might be right on Miami, warm weather. He says he doesn't like the cold.At any rate,I would prefer Minn.get a Wr in free agency who is ready made, rather than develop a draft pick.I want to draft a receiver for when the time comes but Minn needs an instant wr not somebody who will be learning.
You guys could sure use a RB,i know your current batch gets the yards collectively but a feature back would really make that offense more deadly.

They have to get better running the ball for sure! I do believe a better Center and an improvement in LT play goes a long way ( of vice versa).I like DuJuan Harris, hes only 5 8 200-205 or so but there have been more then a handful of smaller backs who have been successful.Collectively they do get yards but Harris is also a pretty good receiving back which GB hasnt really had since maybe Ahman Green.GB needs a better FB as well.Kuhn is a fan favorite but Vonta Leach would be much better!(why did GB cut him is beyond me) Every GM makes a mistake and that was Ted Thompson for sure.I honestly believe they have the back now, they need to get better upfront.Bulaga is a good pass protector but not a very good Run blocker,( noticed it got better after he got injured but pass protection broke down a bit, but, Barclay only started 2 games before the playoffs and very well may get better in pass protection as well as being good at Run stopping) Which is also why Bulaga may be moved to LT next year ( he didnt play LT well at all as he started there, but, he was a rookie, now hes has a few years under his belt,so MAYBE he can be better there, but, they can use pass protection at LT to protect Rodgers and thats what Bulaga give them, from the RT,lets see about the LT spot).
Buffalo just decided to let their WR go FA ( forgot the name) but hes supposedly pretty good.Jennings of course is a FA,so there are a few WR for Minn.
James Jones and Jordy Nelson are both FA after the 13 season so im thinking one if not both of them will be gone after 13,so TT will be going WR early in the draft.
Lost Jennings and Driver this year, Nelson and Jones are both FA ( i hope they sign one of them, probl. Jones,he seemed to have cured his drops and seems a bit better at bigger plays then Nelson and Nelson has struggled with Hammy prob. the past few seasons),Hense TT going high on WR

Childress, i was reading in the Bleacher Report ( not that they are huge experts but....) in a Mock, they have Minn drafting Keenan Allen, WR Cal. a 6 3 210LBer and that wouldnt be bad at all. I do agree Minn. would be in good shape if they could land an established WR but again, rookie WR do have an impact if he fits the system and Harvin is a darn good WR and Rudolph is a darn good TE so another good WR to compliment Harvin and help out the youngster taking the snaps is always a good thing! I still say Ponder is going to be a pretty good qb in this league.A good Line, the best RB in the game today and an all time great,a very Good TE and a set of good WR and Minn. is looking solid.I love Harrison Smith ( at safety of course, changing the subject here a bit) and GB traded up for Jerel Worthy,( i cant remember if Smith was still there when they did that,im pretty sure he was so GB blew that one) but who was to know Woodson would break the same collar bone ( 2nd time in less then 2 years, SB was 1st time,,early in 12 season was 2nd)anyway,Minnesota is making a hard charge and if GB doesn't draft well, fill a few holes and sign a FA that can make an impact, Minn. just may be up there with GB and take the division,it should be an interesting and a bit more important offseason of the past few recent years,Minn may catch GB,if GB makes the right move or 2 they may open a bit more space, but, Minn isnt very far behind GB ( finishing 1 game behind is proof of that) but then again Det. kicked some ass in 11 finishing 10 wins or so,made the playoffs and dropped back to 4 or 5 wins last year and there's no guarantees GB will win 11 games again ( after the 15 win season the year before).
Like ive said before Jennings is a great deep threat who can help Minn. but hes 30, hasnt played a full season in 3 years so theres pros and cons for both sides ( as with anything else i guess right?)

A lot of teams were down in 2012.N.O.Dallas,Philly,NYG.Det ,Chi finished poorly. It will be tough on a team like Minn to have that success again.I think Wright is coming along, and with the others you mentioned,Minn could have some receiving.I'm looking for a deep threat and although I like Allen in the draft,I still prefer the proven quality,a FA.Your team has that proven Qb,a big difference maker for your team to stay up there with the elite and teams that will rebound.Minn needs the perfect blend of talent to achieve why they build.
And on the other post,Harris did look good, but not so sure he's the long term guy.
We'll see.
Vikings moved back into the 1st to get Smith, not sure what pick without looking but around 29th.

Philly should be interesting.Reid is a good coach but a change of the guard just may be the ticket. You cant expect NYG to miss the playoffs again,Washington ( except RGIII injury) was solid,of course SF,N.O. should make a comeback of sorts.Detroit may as well.they had a bad record, but, lost a handful of them by less then a TD so they were blown out of many of them,so, their fortunes may change as well.
I didnt include the AFC but its going to be interesting and TONS of things change between now and then of course

Just went to Sports Illustated to check football news. Instead of the usual page it was full screen add with promo shots of rookie models who are appearing in this year's swimsuit addition. There was a button that said click here to skip this add.......I did not click!

Welker's not getting a tag or big money. They may be in the Harvin market.

I think they simply negotiate a contract with Welker. Not tag needed and no greed by Welker to look elsewhere. He knows he has a good deal in NE.

So, Welker is an idiot that will pass on a big payday to take a cut-rate deal to stay? not likely. he'll see what is available and who's gonna give him the big guaranteed money. This is probably Welker's last chance for a big payday. What he has in NE is a coach who does not see Welker as an important piece to the machine and who is unwilling to part with big money for that position. Never has - remember super bowl hero Deon Branch? How did he enjoy Seattle? got paid, busted, went back. Welker is better.

Nobdy is giving big money to a 31 yr old slot receiver who has already had knee surgery. He is past the big payday mark and has a better chance at good pay on a playoff caliber team by staying.

Coach didn't see him as important yet involved him in enough plays for him to rack up over 1300 yds to lead the team? Yea, I'm sure Bellichick wants to let his leading receiver to go.

Branch had 454 yds in 2004 leading up to the SB. And He wasn't let go until after the following season where he still wasn't a 1000 yd WR. Different players at different points in their career. Branch was allowed towalk but NE will probably resign WW.
