I did a lot of studying on Patterson being he was my draft pick & Patterson had a high catch rate despite consistently body catching. Patterson dropped 4.2 percent of the targets he saw in 2012. For comparison's sake, Keenan Allen dropped 4.7 percent, Terrance Williams checked in with 5.8 percent, and Justin Hunter's number was a whopping 12.1 percent. I think other then his lack of experience Patterson will become one of the top 10 receviers in the NFL some day.

I am not surprised you are interested in these stats showing something positive for him.

How do you feel about the fact Patterson only had 4% of his targets coming on the deep ball last year? Only 4%! Now all of a sudden he is going to be Randy Moss!?! The Greatest deep threat of all time!?!

From my understanding from the MANY sites and scouting reports I have seen it is just not something he has excelled at or even has much experience in. So therefor as I stated previously, I don't see him anywhere near to be the next Randy Moss. They are not the same type player. I think he plays better in the short to mid passing game, not as deep threat.

Are you saying top 10 WRs of all time?

Or

One of the top 10 WRs for a given period of time?(like in 4 yrs he might be one of the ten best WRs)

Top 10 thats playing in the game today yes It would be foolish to say at this time Patterson would be in the top 10 of all time But I would say of the guys playing in the game today yes I think he will be among them.

That stat is from the one year he was with Tennessee & he had spot duty & look at yards he still put up. That 4% can't be counted being it was his first year with the team & Justin Hunter was the main target of the team still.

At some point in his career you should be able to crack the current top 10 WR list. He was first round pick so he should at some point in his career. He does have a long way to go and not an ideal QB situation to deal with.

Yeah, 1 year with Tenn! That is all we have to go on.

That stat 'can be counted', it 'is counted', It is used by many scouts, and he has limited experience as a deep threat. Iti s a FACT

In his 1, only 1, year of serious collage ball he was not used as a deep threat. It is a FACT.

Top 10 is not good enough Patterson has a chance to be as good as anybody athletically he already is.

Well you have a point in a way but “athletically” and “skilled/gifted” are two different things.

The game of WR requires more than just being the most ‘athletic’ man out there. Playing WR is a skill and fine-tuned craft; it is not simply running real fast or cutting on a dime. Being ‘athletic’ is one thing, BUT being ‘skilled or being gifted’ to play WR is totally different IMO.

Athleticism alone does NOT make you a good WR, it is not even half of what you need to be great!

Patterson was Rated as a 5-star prospect by 247Sports.com Why would Patterson received scholarship offers from upper-tier Division I programs if he was as bad as your trying to make out. Scouts have been wrong about many of the players drafted, The Packers WR Cobb for one. Patterson scored at least one touchdown by reception, rush, kick return and punt return, with 10 total touchdowns in 12 games

GBPmies You seem to pick & chose what you want & totally ignored what other experts has said about him I posted a few of them on here & you ignored what they had to say. Patterson has the speed of a deep threat & has the open field quickness of a slot receiver. Having Patterson will only open up the field for Jennings. Teams that want to put 8 men in the box for Peterson is going to get burned. As the Vikings did with Harvin, the best thing to do is to put the ball in Patterson's hands and let him do his thing. You know if Patterson was a Packer you would be saying the same thing as us Vikings fans. This guy is special & its not every day that this kind of receiver comes along.

Leslie Frazier finally told Jennings to zip it about Rodgers..Appearently L.F. is sick of Jennings being or acting like a douche..He left on his own.Enjoy Minnesota and pray you can produce there, after all the shit hes been talking,it would really make him look like an ass if he didnt produce anything.

Frazier was right, theres to much being said & enough is enough But maybe theres more behind this then we think. Maybe what Jennings sister was saying last season had some truth to it, maybe there was more to be said & it didn't get to come out & now Jennings is letting his true feelings show.

A bold prediction, most bold predictions in hindsight are stupid but all the power to your ridicules wishful thinking. Once again I can smile and be reminded of viking fan stupidity.

That would be quite a feat indeed if he did become the best in the NFC North after the year.

Imagine going from 3rd best on your team in Tenn then 4th best WR oon the worst WR corps in the NFC North to being better than Calvin Johnson, Branson Marshal, Randall Cobb, Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, James Jones... And plenty of others who are very experienced WRs.

Sometimes I wish I was capable of being half as delusional as you—just for a day - it must be kinda fun!

He already looks like a HUGE ass after his new coach had to tell him to shut up, pretty lame for a vet. Everyone else blew off his comments and now he just looks like a complete douche bag and more interested about him smelf. He should now fit right in in MN. AD talks about breaking rushing records, Allen talks about breaking sack records.

The Packers talk about WINNING THE NFL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!

Hay Allen has also said he wants a super bowl ring before his career ends. Whats wrong with wanting to break the rushing record or wanting to break the sack record. It never hurts to have extra goals. hehe
