Yeah, I *get* that the free-agent signing deadline passed (it always does with this team)- I was referring to what SHOULD have been done, so I am now guilty of a retrospective judgment (I posted plenty at the time regarding the need to sign a good corner). Everyone on this site was clamoring for an answer to Paymah after the Ravens game, and the best answer hands down would have been to sign Chris McCallister (former Raven, remember???) who is better than any corner on this team except Winfield, and is better in coverage than Winfield. Hindsight now, it would have been a bold move by a team and coach with a GLARING need in the midst of the best potential season the team has had in a decade, and knowing how important the position is, would have made total sense because, you guessed it, a team with no safeties (missing pieces are important, right??) will have problems in the post season. Wait and watch: This will become clear to you if it isn't already.

It seems the posters (not all, obviously, but many of them. To the rest, please accept my apology in advance for criticizing the mutant Gay Bay lovers who frequent this place) on this site have fallen in love with the Packers and their fans (hence the leniency policy they have put in place). Criticize the Pack and you can be quickly banished here (this is a football site designed for thoughtful and constructive commentary, etc. - the given *explanation*.). Enough. Disloyalty makes me sick. In tandem with this, any posts that return fire to Packer fans *in kind* are swiftly deleted. Simple conclusion: Site is useless. I'll happily save the editorial staff the time and energy required to delete my posts, and all the gutless Vikings fans (who think they're REAL football fans) who are Puker sympathizers the 'emotional trouble' of reading them.

My best guess...it's this "David D" dork, the self appointed censor...

The same one that believes in free speech, as long as it meets his standards...and I thought Pecker fans were bad!

Here we go....Super Bowl talk. These are the Vikings we're talking about...the kings of the 1st round playoff loss and yet another disappointment to fans. They proved in their loss to the Steelers that they can't stand up to a real first class team. This team has everything it needs to go all the way, but something's missing. I don't know what it is but the late-game collapses tell the tale. I suspect it's coaching, but whatever it is, the erratic play tells me not to plan for a 2010 Super Bowl party.
I know what it is, it's fans like you that are holding this team back.

Not sure where you are going with this, I've been mutilating packer fans on here for years.
And the beat down will continue....

I always find it amazing how people who sit behind a desk everyday, and probably have never played 1 game of football in thier life,(except when he tried out for the 7th grade team, and didn't make the list, because he got ran over), can sit there are make what they think is a Perfect Plan for a winning season.

Team is doing just enough to win. I hope Chilly, Bevell and Frazier found a killer instinct over the bye week. Wildcat is not for us, agree with all the posters that ask for a few more trick plays. You can't tell me with AD that a fake reverse then a reverse would not work for big gains. Need to get AD out on the edge, the 2 yard up the middle run just isn't that good. Defense needs to stay on the gas pedal in 2nd half, too many yards given up when the blitz is called off. This might be our only year to have a legit chance so please Chilly don't blow it! Unless T-Jack got a brain implant he will not be the answer when BF is gone. Go Vikes!
I agree! They need to get AD to the edge brhind S.Hutch n B.McK.,The runs up the gut just are not getting it done!!!WAKE UP COACHES!!

The Steelers a real first class team!? MAN,The Vikes had them BEAT! It was the REFS that cost us that game!! That BS Tripping call...Defensive delay of game...C'MON! We did have a horrible day w/penalties but, those two turned the whole game around in favor of the Steelers. Without the help of the Refs, your so called first class team loses that game!! And we would be 8-0! GO VIKES!!!!!!!!!!

The most important obligation that Coach Brad Childress is to monitor each
player every game so the team stays healthy, & make sure they aren't out of
energy when the team really does need there playing time to count the most when they are going to make a drive to succeeding there Championship goals,&
a possible bert in the yearly Super Bowl Show Down, yes the Vikings have never
really have had the oppurtunity to do what all Vikings Fans dearly want, now is the time for the Viking's team to go after the Super Bowl everyone has ever
dreamed of, just maybe they will finally get back to the Super Bowl and get there Super Bowl Victory they have been cheated out in the previous Super Bowl games, i think they do really have a real good shot at taking them to that well deserved goal that they have never got, & the Viking's fans have really been
good loyal fans over the years, yes they really do deserve a Super Bowl win to enjoy in Minnesota--"GO VIKING'S GO, take it to the house once , & for all.
