Personally this is the type of game I hate. A lot more hype than is needed. But it sell tickets and puts money in someones pocket, so we have it.

Offense:
PTS - Vikings
YDS - Packers
Pass - Packers
Rush - Vikings

Defense:
PTS - Packers
YDS - Packers
Pass - Packers
Rush - Vikings

Injuries:
Edge - Packers; we are missing Winfield and Harvin is questionable. Those are 2 key peices for the Vikings.

Misc:
Edge - Packers; Simply because they are at home. Another small fact is that after they were beat at Minnesota they took a bye break and have played 2 celler dwellers....they should be rested to say the least. Vikings are in need of the bye week.

Final:
Vikings - 20
Packers - 23

Yes I know I'm gonna catch hell from some Vikings fans and it makes me sick to make this prediction. But the truth is I just don't feel it. I really feel this game is gonna come down to the coaches. Edge - Packers. As I type this, I my only thought is "God I hope I'm wrong".

But not all is lost! Next week is the bye and then onto the celler dwellers. Time to make a run!
Then onto the playoffs.

Your thoughts......

Vikes win. Packers have not beat a 500 team. they have played two & lost. You can't get stuck on the stats. remember, three of the packs four wins have come against three of the four worst teams in the NFL this year. Pack still can not stop our pass rush & they still can not stop our offense. Book it!

It'll all depend on line play.

If the Packers' O line shows up and gives Rodgers time, I think the Pack has a very good chance of winning. If Jared Allen has another monster day, the Pack doesn't stand a chance.

The same is true for the Vikings. They did a great job of keeping Favre out of pressure (because Capers love's utilizing Kampman incorrectly). That stupid zone pressure they use was easily idnetified and neutralized by the Vikings.

Avoid the costly penalties, get to Rodgers often, protect Brett, and this game looks alot like the last one.

I didn't mention AD til now because he will not be the focus of this game unfortunately. They don't seem to be set on getting him going early in games anymore. I understand saving him and keeping him in shape for the playoffs, but this is a must win game for the Vikings as far as I am concerned. He had about 20 more carries at this point last year and was in the game at crunch time.

I guess the point is, Brett Favre or not, I wish Adrian was getting 2 of the 3 attempts inside the five instead of the passing game.

I hope Adrian gets between 25-30 touches, and Brett does not throw the bal FIFTY TIMES like he did last game. Why is this team throwing the ball 50 times and Adrian only getting 18 carries and 4 catches? That will not win many games IMO.

Magnum, don't give the Packers D so much credit. They have done good on D against 4 teams losing records. However, they have given up 30+ to the only two winning teams they have faced the Vikings and Bengals. Lots of hype about their move to a 3-4 but this year they simply don't have the personnel to fit that D scheme.

I'm glad you brought up the stupid penalties JD. They really cost us last week. The hell with the tripping call. That was just tit for tat on the Heath Miller call IMO. Giving them 30 yrds. on consecutive plays is really bad.

Problem with AD's carries may lie in his yards per carry avg.

2.2ypc vs. Green Bay.
3.8ypc last week vs. Pitt.

His two worst outings of the year so far.

Hey...at least we CAN throw the ball 50 times and have it mean something now. We all wanted a passing game. We have it!

I'm stoked though. Really big game. A win punches a playoff ticket and first round bye I think.

A loss.......not the end of the world by any means but a big setback in my mind. If we do lose and have bad days against Cincy, Atlanta and, the Giants at the end....we'd be in no better shape than last year. A win (big I hope) a bye then, most of the rest of the season doable....I'll be thinking NFC Championship game.

Oh yeah......the Saints!

Nonsense....we ARE winning this week!!! GO VIKES!!!

3rd game Packers have had against a winning team. They average 33 pts against good teams. Watch Dallas, San Fran, Baltimore, and the Steelers all roll up big numbers against them. Their D is only good on stats because of soft easy schedule.

Sweet game. Wow @ Robinson. Bet he's taught to kneel next week.

I gotta say, the secondary minus griffin has stepped it up pretty well. Allen played decent, Paymah played ok for a while, sapp had some good & bad. tyrell played fine. Griff's poor coverage bothers me. shame he got that contract. Greenway played great & EJ was all over the place it seemed, too. This team's really coming together. Winnie getting hurt solidified our secondary, it seems. D-line was phenominal - must have gassed a bit at the end.

Offensively, sullivan had a rough game as did herrea. Loadholt handled Kaumpman. Our O-line's gonna have to start run blocking a bit better so we can run out some clocks & keep our d-line fresher.(or we have to keep out-scoring late). Anyway, that's the only real problem i see thus far-o-line poor run blocking leading to d-line gassing out late & not getting the same consistant rush.

Heck of a team.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Scorpio

Something that you've always taken for granted or believed implicitly could have a big question mark hanging over it during the next few weeks. The more entrenched your views are about this, the more difficult it will be to accept that perhaps it's time for a change of opinion or, at the very least, a revaluation of what you think. Mercury turns retro in your house of communications, so do your best to be open-minded now.
