Full story: TwinCities.com

The Vikings have stopped chasing Brett Favre, at least temporarily, after the quarterback failed to report to organized team activities this week, as coach Brad Childress had "mandated," according to a report.

This report is from Ed Werder. It isn't likely to be any more right and non-contradictory, or make any more logical sense, than his previous reports on Favre. In fact it contradicts his own report of just yesterday, which said that Favre's deadline was going to be Friday. Now he is saying that, no, that's not true, it was Tuesday.

Isn't this guy capable of embarrassment?

I'm going to start calling this network BS PN

When I was young I gave an ultimatum to Santa Clause he had better bring me a Lost in Space Robot or don't dare come into my house.

He did not....... he still came in.... then I found out he was not real.

Learn from this little story purple fans.

What?!?!? Last I saw Favre was not under contract with the Vikings, why would they expect him to show up to OTAs? Just out of the kindness of his heart? I think Chilly is just trying to find a way out of this mess, and blaming it on Favre is the way he is opting to do this.

Sign him for a day, and let him retire as a Viking.
That'll learn 'em.

I like posts that make me laugh and Mark this was a good one. Another thing that gets me are these so called experts are so opinionated and think they know it all, when they are only guessing just like the rest of us. Favre feeds on this stuff; a 39 year old QB still the talk of the NFL world thanks to all the journalists. He will sign with the Vikings which has been his intention all along after GB threw him off the bus.

Ya know what I think????

I think ESPN is full of camel dung!!

ESPN is just trying to throw a story out there befoe Yahoo sports does.

We are right back to the same ol, same ol crap.

NO MEDIA SOURCES SHOULD SAY ANOTHER FREEKING WORD UNTIL IT'S DIRECTLY FROM FAVRE'S OR CHILDRESS'S MOUTH!!!

OTHERWISE IT'S OBVIOUS THAT THEY ARE JUST TRYING TO GET READERS BY REPORTING ON SOMETHING THAT THEY DON'T KNOW CRAP ABOUT!!

HEY KLINK...you can take those OTAS and pound them up your A$$!!! furthermore, if you had put half as much stock on acquiring a legit QB and put aside this egotistical belief in your experiment...WE WOULDN'T BE INVOLVED IN THIS CIRCUS IN THE FIRST PLACE. actually, the real solution to our QB problem might be solved if ZYGI would unload you!

The idea of soliciting a comment from Favre's agent implies that Buss 'Myass' Cook has even a shred of credibility. Preposterous!

you are right on with that assesment, nfl network called the deadline a hoax as it was reporting on espn as breaking news. the whole story makes no sense. Suspend favre chase, what the F**K is that? is that some tough stance we are taking? It is a joke his arm isn't healed, the vikes are noy going to sign him until they see him throw. which if the healing process takes 6 weeks we're going to have to wait about a month, which is before training camp starts. besides lets say he showed up today what would he do throw left handed or run handoffs all day. lame story by espn to cover there butts. Maybe TO was right about werder making up stuff.

Just another pile of owl $h!t... Just stop f' ing believing in this garbage until you SEE it! There's newspapers & etc. that've been talking about events that never happened.(Klink flys to Miss. for lunch with Favre) Outright lies.(Favre had an operation this past Winter) The Childress deadline.(end of this week/Tuesday/Isn't one)- Most of these "Favre-fawners" are enough to make any sane person blow chunks!
JUST DON'T BELIEVE $H!T UNTIL IT BECOMES REALITY ONE WAY OR ANOTHER!!!- That's the easiest route to go. That way nobody has to feel like a dumbas-s when it turns-out to be a bunch of caca, and nobody has to feel like a dip$h!t if it turns out true. But this bull$h!t of turning into stampedin' cattle over every $h!thouse rumor is getting nuts...

We as Vikings fans should just pop up some popcorn, mix our favorite drink, and sit back and laugh. Favre and even Klink's whole obligation is to twist the pucker fans into a frenzy. Judging by the pucker topix forum, the plan is working flawlessly. Anything to do with Brett and the Vikings is salt on an open wound in cow country. Let's enjoy the ride.

There is a new T-shirt being worn in Packerland. It has a picture of Favre with the words, "We Will Never Forget You Brent."

Its funny you should mention this. I was just reading this topic and thinking how it has whipped all the Vikes fans into a frenzy.

I suppose it works both ways.
