Interesting indeed,
because I thought Smith kicked the Packers ass in game 1.2012 opener.
Well there is that.

Yes the packer beat the Vikings in Green Bay and the Vikings didn't have
There QB and you won 24 - 10

Jan. 9, 2005 - NFC Wild Card - Minnesota 31, Green Bay 17
This game was the other time the two teams met in the play offs also in Green Bay. We had our QB for this game.

This year the Packers and Vikings will not meet in the playoffs. The packer won't make the playoffs.

Thinking obviously is not your strength then. IF you had either watched the game or even simply looked at the stats, you would know that Alex Smith was typically unimpressive. The 49er defense and running game was typically strong! But I suppose i's posible that Jim Harbaugh and I really don't know anything about football. Perhaps we both were wrong about Kaepernick being much better than Smith. On the other hand, you could be one of the idiots that thinks both Tim Tebow and Alex Smith are good QBs.

Oops. I forgot. Viking fans want to believe that crappy QBs are good QBs. I didn't mean to burst your bubble! Sorry.

20 of 26 for 211 yards and two touchdowns isnt half bad.Especially when you add the 186 yards rushing. What have the Packers done to stop the run in the offseason?

I know Viking fans think those are good numbers. As I said, I didn't mean to burst your bubble.

And why do we need to stop the run? We beat the Vikings in every meaningful game. And the 49ers now have that crappy QB, instead of the awesome Alex Smith. We got it made!

In all fairness - In that Vikes 49er game The Vikings wasn't playing Kaepernick they was playing Smith in that game & it's why Smith was pulled after in favor of Kaepernick a few game later. Where as the Packers played Kaepernick the full game.
I seem to recall the Packers lost to Smith in game 1 at Flambeau

The Packers didn't play aginst Smith ever. The Packers did play against the 49ers in the first game of the season. The 49ers won that game, but I would take the performance of the opposing QB that game in EVERY game. If I were to change anything that game it would be the success of the 49er ground game and defense!

Sure. Fourth best in the division!

Fourth best You must not be going on wins maybe it's passing yards your going on? Well if it is passing yards then the Lions Stafford had 4,967 passing yards to Aaron's 4,295 So Stafford is the best QB right? Now if you say it's wins Then wouldn't Ponder be the second best QB in the division But that can't be right because everyone has said the Vikes wins was a team effort & didn't have anything to do with Ponder right? Maybe its the case with the Packers also? everyone said it was Peterson for the vikes wins but Peterson had 43% of the vikings offense & Ponder was the higher percent with 57% So is Ponder fourth best in the division even though he had more wins then Stafford & Cutler Or are you going on passing yards?

No proof of that.
It takes a whole team, blocking,
Receivers, a ruining game, play calling.

We'll see how it plays out.

ESPN: who would have thought it at the bringing of the season that the MVP trophy would be passed from AP to Ponder! What a season for Ponder and the Vikings the first undefeated season in the longer season clear through the playoffs and closing it out with a 49-0 thumping of the Stealers in the Super Bowl.

Nope. One has to take in account the rest of the team. A QB can't complete a pass if no one on the team can catch the ball. Or a front line to protect the QB. Or a play caller who knows when there will be time for a 5 step drop or just 3 steps.

Stats are not the full story.
