I don't know if this is read able or not.
I'm on my phone and it looks bad.
So I will point out that game one the Vikings are picked to win on the road while Green Bay is picked to lose.
I see they agree with me, go figure!
It's perfectly understandable. I never seen this Predicted Winner list.

Holy crap! Geewiz! Oh my golly!
The Packers are NOT favored to win on the road vs the 49ers the team that bounced them out of the playoffs last year? The team that most think is at the top or near the top of all the teams in the NFL?
That is craziness! I am just shocked!

To top it off the vikings (a 2012 playoff team) IS favored on the road against the Lions (a team that went 4-12 last year)?
Is it crazy upside down day? How can this possibly be? Shock and awe!Shock and awe! Shock and awe! Shock and awe! Shock and awe!

Viking Nation wrote- "I think the real test for the Packers season will come this sunday With the 49ers. If the LT & RT can hold their own in that game. If they can stop the 49ers from putting pressure on Rodgers they should be ok for the season. If not you can bet their first draft pick next season will be a left or right tackle. I really thought they would have did something this season but they went defense yet again."
For me to agree with a viking fan hurts me to no end lol but i have to admit your right on this.
For the life of me i cannot understand why these positions were not shored up better . To keep Newhouse at all boggles my mind. The franchises player- rodgers- should have been more of a priority protecting and giving him more time to set up and deliver. Management did make somes decent moves at different positions this off season BUT they made a big error by not doing more on the o line. I hope this doesnt bite us in the ass again like last year!
It should hurt you to agree with a Viking fan that wouldn't know a good offensive lineman from a punter. And it should hurt you even more to be agreeing with a valor stealing POS like Viking Nation that pathetically pretended to be a wounded war hero when he was posting as ezg.

To begin with you know that Thompson hasn't drafted that well on the offensive line. So what makes you think simply drafting more players on the offensive line would help? And if Newhouse is the main source of your frustration (and he probably was for many) don't you think it's a sign of progress that he's now a backup? More importantly Bakhtiari has played very well for a rookie LT. And to suggest that the entire Packer season is riding on the performance of a rookie LT playing against the NFL's best defense in game one is the kind of STUPIDITY that ONLY an envy blind imbecile like ezg/vn could come up with.

Every Packer fan knows that Rogers needs better line play if the offense is to return to the kind of production it had during his MVP season. But game one isn't going to make or break the Packer season no matter the outcome or opponent. The Packers lost to an Alex Smith led 49ers in last season's opener and still easily won the division. The year before the Packers won not only the first game, but the first 14, and didn't win anything more than last season. The fact of the matter is that the regular season is essentially a dress rehearsal for the playoffs. It's 17 week period in which teams jockey for position and prepare for the important season. The Packers will probably lose to the 49ers in game one, but that is no more a guarantee of failure for the season than a Packer win against the 49ers would be a guarantee of success. Do you remeber last season? The VIKINGS beat the 49ers! Did the Vikings succeed? No. As always the Vikings sucked seed. There is a reason they play the games! Sit back and enjoy them. Let the Viking fans do the Henny Penny routines and cackle like hens.

BTW Bakhtiari is going to have several "tests" this season. None any more difficult than in game one. Be thankful that the first playoff game isn't game one, it's game number seventeen.

This is as of today, maybe it changes after the injury reprots come out. Interesting though isn't it?

Not that it really matters much to me about who is favored in what game but you brought it up and I thought it was funny when I checked the betting lines this week.

Vikings are 5 point underdogs vs the Lions
Packers are 4,5 point underdogs vs the 49ers

Think about that. The Packers odds of beating the 9ers are about as good as the vikings beating the Lions. Weird

well gbpfan i guess we will see how it all works out during this season. again i am suspect on those positions and hopefully the rookie and barclay can withstand the pressure from the likes of explosive defenses. me i would have made trades for a more experience player ted could have come up with something but again we will see. At least he did make some good moves at other positions.

There is every reason to be suspect whenever an O-line undergoes this many changes and is starting a rookie LT. And you know I've never been in complete agreement with the philosophy of seldom picking up free agents or trading for players. However, it is extremely difficult to pick up good O-lineman that way. Teams don't let them get away easily. On the bright side, the Packers have made changes on the line rather than sitting with the same situation as last season. Now we see if the changes work.

Hard to believe the bears would run out of vagisil. Don't they normally keep barrels of it on the sideline? I bet Urlacher ate all again. Dude can get crazy at times!

I bet if the bears win the super bowl the players will pour a tub of vagisil over Trestman’s head!

And if the Oline doesnt play real well in game 1,it doesnt mean they wont play well in the future,it just may take a few games to start to blend and play together but god forbid if the oline doesnt play better then very well on Sunday, folks will freak out.

You might ahve thought wrong. It happens to the best of you.

LBF has been on this forum for years providing us with some much needed light hearted humor and occasional wisdom. It is all in good fun.

Try not to take everything on here as seriously as you take yourself, the season hasn’t even started yet. It is like you are shooshing people during the previews at a movie theatre. You also probably are not yet very familiar with the cast of characters around here. Stick around though it is a good time. I look forward to your contribution to the forum, whatever that may be.

In all actuality this isn’t really an interesting thread. For the most part it is a thread where rival fans who have known each other for quite some time have a contest to see who can write the most annoying thing to piss off the other fans. Occasionally we might mix in a tender moment but for the most part we try and outwit each other in less than pointless back and forth arguments. Nobody really wins and nobody really loses,-except those that are lying POS valor stealers.

I bet the “Why should Jesus love me” thread is much more interesting.

So.... who do ya got this weekend. Vike or Lions? Packers or 9ers?

Your right this probably isnt the thread for me then...... i was hoping to get away from the nonsense of that other thread and for awhile there it was at least interesting here.

The above post was one of those that you sit there and go, should I or shouldn't I. I probably shouldn't have. My apologies.

I dont think the Vikes will beat the Lions. I just didnt see enough out of Ponder during the preseason. 24-10 Lions.

And I just dont think the Pack will be able to score on that 9'er defense this early in the season. 34-13 9'ers
