That is surprisingly honest from a Viking fan. It seems that many want to pretend that Ponder is something he has yet to be ... good. The good news is that the Vikings have managed Ponder well by not relying on him to win games. As a result, they can probably do okay if Ponder stays the same, and may have a pretty decent year if he improves some. Given the changes to the receiving corp and lack of experience that Ponder has with the players, slow but steady improvement will be as good as it can get in Minnesota.
That's the only way one can look at a season. You just never know, injuries, down years by players, etc. You play them one at a time and never look ahead or over look an opponent.

That is why they play the games. Each team goes through 50 to 60+ "active roster" players each season and nearly 100% of those players do in fact play and contribute in actual games. ALL of those players and more contribute at practices and in camps. By the end of the season, each and every team has lost players and those playing are banged up, bruised and playing with a variety of injuries from minor to major. Add the problems that can go wrong in the locker room and on the field when you have a game that involves dozens of players and coaches and it is far from "predictable"! That is why football is America's most popular sport. That being said, it is just foolishness for any team to look at themselves or their opponents with rose colored glasses. What is can not be changed with optimism. It takes honest assessment and hard work. I'm sure Christian Ponder knows that. If he had the goofy view of himself that some fans have, he would already be history in the NFL. I do believe he knows where he stands and where he needs to improve. But most players do. Knowing it and making it happen are different things.

Can you believe that POS lying stoner? The king of cut and paste is lecturing about others not having original thoughts. ROFLMAO However, he certainly does seem to have some original thoughts, or should I say lies? Knowing him, he probably even stole the lies he tells. I wonder if he does smoke pot. Maybe that is a lie too! Or perhaps getting baked can explain his wild fantasies AND the incredibly stupid things he says.

Another thing about playing them one at a time, not only are you looking at your team, injuries, performances, etc .Your also looking at the next opponent. How are they playing, where are you playing them, injuries, etc.

I still see the Packers declining. The loss of Bulaga is huge. Now you have a new guy on the left and right. In the regular season teams are gonna come at them hard. When the line collapses Lacy wont have anywhere to go and Rodgers will be sacked.I disagree with youre analysis of Ponder. The Vikes were taken off guard last week by the blitz.Nobody expected that in preseason.Ponder will play much better from here on out cause we wont let that happen again.Ponder will return to his week 17 form from last year quickly not slowly. All our recievers have been here from day one.Ponders ready for the next step.Im the one that told you last year the Vikings are better than you think and Ill say it again this year.

Every bettor in the world and every sports writer, expert and pollster in professional football seems to disagree with you. But then you aren't an expert or sports writer are you? Nobody has asked you to vote in any power polls, have they? And you are even too chicken-shit to even bet on yur ow team! So I consider your opinion nothing but jealous whining from a football idiot.

All those experts didnt pick us last year either so what do they know. They go with what happened last year not this year. Its better anyway when you dont have the pressure.Peterson says different. He said his goal this year is 2500 yards and a superbowl. He says we have the pieces to do it.Peterson knows more than those analyst do.LMAO

They knew the Vikings wouldn't win the division last year and they know it again this year. It's sooooo easy for them. Predicting failure for the Vikings is like predicting the sun to rise each morning.

BTW all of those pollsters and experts KNEW the GREEN BAY PACKERS would win the division last year and the year before too. Obviously, they know a lot more than you! ROFLMAO

Try and comprehend what I just wrote above. Really try to understand it. With all of your mental midget brain.
The Packers had BOTH starting CBs OUT! Half of those passing yrds were from 1 play against a rookie CB drafted in 5th rd. They also scored ZERO points until the last few minutes.
How hard is that to understand?
Here take this as an example of your type of stupidity.
"The vikings need to improve their run game, it sucks and they can not run the ball. Their starting RB in the game only had 23 yrds on 6 carries"
See now that is stupid, because it is a back up RB in a preseason game that actually started. Get it? It doesn't mean sh**.
First off Gerhart isn't the Vikings starter I guess I gave you to much credit. haha I didn't see you answer my question ezg has been identified. Are you afraid to? lol VIKINGS HO!

Once again proving Viking Nation = ezg. Some things never change. There is and has been ONLY one person that dense. GBPmies, don't even bother. Even if you draw him pictures, he will never get it. Who walks these kind of people through traffic? I can't understand how they can do it themselves without getting killed.

LMFAO

and yet another post flies WAY WAY WAY over your head!

..... hits from the bong.

You are too stupid to follow along.

That was my exact point you dumbass. Gerhart is a backup so you cannot evaluate the vikings run game from the last game.... Just like you can't evaluate the Packer's secondary for the game since they had two starting CBs Not playing/OUT/backups played for the Packers secondary last game.

Not even you are capable of understanding your own stupidity, nobody is. I can only assume you have fried all your brain cells Cheech. Keep growing and smoking the ganja, stopping now won't help... the damage has been done.

Gerhart did pretty good when Peterson got injured.I think was that our oline wasnt in sync yet and Felton wasnt playing.

Whatever BP, I could care less about the vikings run game in preseason. I know the vikes have AD and a damn good run game, I never said they didnít. The post you read of mine was a continuation of yet another discussion where ezg could not follow along and got confused. I said it would be stupid of me to judge the vikings running game in a preseason game that AD (the starter) didnít play in. Just because the starters that day didnít have a good day it doesnít mean the run game sucks. I made that point in an attempt to point out to ezg that he is stupid for saying how bad the Packer secondary is while the Packers were missing both starting CBs. Once again a preseason game where the starters were out. Even after several of us explained the starters were OUT he refused to believe and said the starters were playing that day.

No. Ezg is the one that keeps agreeing with you. If that doesn't tell you something, then there is no more hope for you than for him.
