"Another area of the draft the Packers excel at is finding starters in the mid to late rounds. This year it looks like the Packers found another late round gem in Charles Johnson At 62, 215 lbs Johnson has the size and speed, 4.40 forty, to play a long time in the NFL." Hmmmm. Maybe this kid can fill that open 5th spot. If Boykin or Ross don't take advantage of their opportunities he may get some playing time.

You did catch that snippet where this writer has the 4-12 Lions taking either first or second in the NFC North didn't you?
Seems his credibility should be questioned, especially by packer fans who find it hard to believe any other team has a shot at winning the NFC North.
'Why The Lions will win the NFC North:'
Then you quote this guy because he talked up one of your rookies, LOL.
You simply can't make this stuff up.

Obviously this author has the GREEN BAY PACKERS finishing first. As for the rest of the division it seems the also-rans can't do anything but rotate between 2nd and 4th. So the Lions are as good a pick for second as any of the others.

The author states reasons why the Lions will finish first, he speaks with forked tongue. Predictions are like ashsoles, everyone has one. Only the duped believe the hype, just like last year.

I say prove it on the field.Det.took quite a fall last year.Minn ( as 40 corrected me on another page with records) but cant deny Minn took a fall back from a good BF year to a shitty one and climbed up..Chicago is consistent..cant beat teams with a winning record and GB has been fairly consistent among the top of the division in recent years, that said..its hard not to pick GB to win the division, but, to many things can happen between now and opening kickoff and during the season. There is always a handful of teams that underachieve, overachieve and under achieve because they lose starters all over the place. In other words.I like GB chances of winning the division more then others but its anyones game and thats why they play the game, got to go out there and prove it.

What or who are the real Detroit Lions??
the playoff team in 2011 or the 4 win team in 2012?

Check the article again. Start with the title and read the whole thing. Stating possibilities of the Lions doing well didn't change his prediction of the Packers winning the division. And you are preaching to the choir here. Predictions mean nothing than me. Except for the fact that it drives Viking and Bear fans insane when the world keeps picking the Packers year after year. It amuses me how upset some people get.

Myself I laugh at who ever puts these to together. Look at the games they had the vikings winnings last year & the vikes ended second in the division. & same goes for the Colts & Redskins If any of these guys perdictions ever come true I would care what their saying but none ever has so I can care less.

Packers ranked number 1 yet again. And this time by a Lions fan! Apparently not all of the fans of our division rivals are blinded by envy.

Being ranked first before training camp/preseason/regular season means absolutely nothing. Predicting the success or failure of a fifth round pick who has never taken a snap in the NFL is ridiculous. One injury and it is BJ Coleman and 3-13.

So you criticize someone for predicting success for a 5th round WR but automatically assume a 3 win season if Colemen plays and he has a year in the NFL.

You correctly pointed out the irony snd hypocrisy of these kind of people. How many times have I told you that you can't expect rational thinking from people blinded by jealousy? The same people that say these preseason predictions are meaningless spend countless hours making predictions about the Packers in a futile attempt to convince themselves the Packers will not be good. If they really believed that, they wouldn't need to try so hard. You know there have been MANY Viking and Bear fans here over the last several years all making the same predictions and being WRONG over and over again. It's hilarious.

Why even play the season?
Just start the playoffs now and watch the Pack get trounced by the 49'ers again
Works for me

I would feel the same if I were a bears fan. I wouldn't want to watch the regular season either, it can only bring you pain watching the Packers beat the bears over and over and then miss the playoffs AGAIN. The only joy can be found in another team beating the Pack, because the bears sure as hell can't. But thanks for the vote of confidence on the Packers reaching the playoffs again.

Hey, you should be a 49ers fan? That way our rival would actually have meaning.
