You did notice that I said 'passing game', so I'm not putting it all on Ponder. I'd say that not only the coaches have lost confidence in the passing game, the team has as well. Our offense is one dimensional, nearly/just as bad as when TJ was the main cog.

That's my conclusion on another team, now back to the Vikings,my only interest.

Smith problem is he's just a game manager. Kaepernick has the ability to carry a team. Plus athletic QB's are talking over the league.

We are not close to competing with Green Bay. I will go so far as to say the Vikings have the lease talent in our division.

I want Ponder to be our QB but he's not consistent enough to be an NFL starter.

smith is junk, but san Fran's only shot to win it all this year. Kaep was a bad mistake, imo. He want be able to read or adjust, especially in the post season. Plus, kaep was inaccurate on college. Thatay rear it's head. Kaep played well enough to lose yesterday.

I think you could blame everyone in the organization at this point from drafting Ponder, to keeping Frazier, to signing FA's with injuries, to WR's that can't catch etc. etc. Even AD screwed up by missing the bus. The fans deserve better but never seem to catch a break. All we ever talk about (except the one year with Favre)is who will we draft next year and why don't they fire the coach. This farce has gone on for one or two decades! I never thought we would do better than 7-9 this year so if we get to 8-8 I guess it will be a pleasant surprise. However the regression of Ponder from the first three games is very disappointing to say the least. Joe Webb is not the answer so I guess we start the next QB in the draft discussion all over again. It's all very tiresome.

Usually the QB position is one of your strength. Take another look at Colin he will be a star.

Childress I'll agree with your draft picks in the sense that we need the OL and DL to have major changes.

Kalil and Loudholt on offense are good. The rest I question.

Williams and Allen on defense are keepers. The rest again I question.

WR corp could use a complete makeover.

DB it might be time to upgrade a few spots. Winfield isn't getting any younger?

Finally I'm beginning to have reservations about the coaching staff. I'm thinking its time for Wilf to bust out some bucks and get somebody already proven.

your thoughts.....

The SF back up threw a pic yesteday. Some people never have it right.Look at the stats of Smith for the last 3 years. He's off the charts across the board. One thing stopped a S.B. last season,a spec.team give away late against the NYG.Their HC is the fool I said he would be by making a switch, that back up was junk yesteday.

The Bears game there was no tape.N.O. had tape and the SF back up failed big time, they passed all game until very late and did nothing,he'll go South from here, espcially against real defenses.Gore got touches to kill the game.

The offense was great early in the year, but when you run variations of only 20 plays defenses catch up quickly.Lately we been up and down on offense because they won't open up the play book.Part of that is a young Qb,some on wr talent and some on an OL that can't provide the time to go deep or let routes develop. That is what I see.Improve the quality of OL and Wr talent.I'm ok with Ponder. On defense,we're not to bad but a DT and MLB of real talent and we'd be great.Cook is missed more than realized by most fans.
Some dummy in here says Ponder has the worse stats of young Qb's.Only a month go I posted all(all) the Qb' stats,Ponder was in the middle.Anything coming from Avant needs to be challenged because he is mentally challenged and a liar.Seriously, make him back up what he says or doubt it.Lastly, most are crying more than last year. Why?We have a winning record and have improved tremendously.A good season to the end,we all knew the needs.I just don't agree with the Qb needing to be switched.Cool with me though on those who see it differently as long as your putting out the right info.Avant isn't.

So Childress says Ponder is better than Cutler. You should hate Ponder because down to the number 7 Jackson and Ponder have the same Strength and weakness.

Football is entertainment.I am entertained every time they play,I hang on any news tidbits.Winning a Championship although I would love it means absolutely nothing to me in any fashion except gratifying. My friends and family could care less,I don't benefit financially or in any way.
Football is something to occupy my time and have a conversation about in the right setting.
Football is entertainment and the Vikings always entertain me.I would pay a premium on tickets, win or lose.
by the way winning isn't everything, like some idiot proclaimed. Not in football anyway.

Kalil loadholt Peterson, Harvin are ball players. Allen, Williams winfield are not the same players they use to be. There are no other elite players on our football. That is a Spielman problem. Seems he doesn't know talent and at this point Jim Harbaugh is making our GM look like an Amateur picking Kaepernick well after our reach for Ponder.

I agree. Harbaugh going with the backup is foolish given that Smith has a great track record.

AND Ryan bringing in Tebow. That did nothing for the team and certainly not Sanchez.

I'm shocked nobody here is clamoring for Joe Webb. I like Webb but he's not a backup bucking to be starter.

Yesterday's road game was for undisputed 1st place. And the whole team played flat.

Hardly all on Ponder.
