This is a good surprise. I didn't think any veteran receiver would sign with Ponder as our QB.

Congrats to the Vikes in the Jennings sweepstakes. You just got yourself a great WR, leader, an one hell of a model American!

Today is actually the Ides of March, how ironic.

Well well well.

Jennings. And a guy who can throw the ball far enough to reach him, Cassel.

If you were Zigi.....

Do you:

A. Let Ponder struggle for 2 games, then pull him.

B. Let Ponder struggle for 2 quarters. then pull him.

c. Leave Ponder on London and say "oops".

D.Insist Ponder's elbow still has an owwie and put him on PUP now.

Thats about where many thought he would land ( price wise) and land ( team wise) That will eat into the cap but its prob. going to be worth it.

Harry, has it been determined yet if Ponder or Cassel is going to be the starter? I would think Ponder would still be the starter and Cassel the backup. However that is subject to change in training camp.

anyway let me know....

Yeah, just dropped in to say that I guess the Wallace to Miami, and Jennings to Minnesota deals pretty much shoot down your theory of top receivers only go to teams with elite QB's. LOL! As always... wrong again. Perhaps you should give up trying to understand the game of football, and switch to checkers. You may eventually come to understand that game. Bye again!

He took a a good song & improved it lol Its all I did to what you said.

I see the Vikes gave Jennings 47.5 million for 5 years. Thats 9.5 million a year, yes! less then what the packers offered him. Why would jennings take a 1/2 million less then the packers offer? He can't prefer to have Ponder throw to him over Aaron Hmm Any guesses why he took less. Maybe jennings sister wasn't giving only her opinion of the team & Aaron lol

From what I was reading about Cassel the Vikes said Cassel will be the backup QB. Then again it said Spielman had said the Vikings had no intent to trade Harvin lol I guess anything can happen once the coaches see who looks better on the field.

Cassel was let go because he threw a lot more ints than tds. An experienced backup but nothing more.

Im also not thrilled about Jennings because of the QB situation. Ponder has not demonstrated an ability to throw more than about 25 yards downfield with any accuracy. However he is a good role maodel and could help a young WR corps; can you say Cordarelle Patterson? With two firsts and a lot of picks in the later rounds, I can see us making a move to land him and then with Wright and Jennings he would have time to develop into a really good WR.

I said nothing about Ryan Tannehill he is going to be a star. I said no good receiver would sign with the vikings with Ponder as our QB. 47 million would change my mind. At some time journeyman Matt Cassel will be Jennings QB you know it and I know it.

or we can stay where we are and draft Keenan Allen, DeAndre Hopkins, Tavon Austin, Justin Hunter, Da'Rick Rogers. Whatever two guys are there.
