Maybe coach Bill Belichick isn't the genius everyone thought he was for bringing in Tebow in the first place.
No, Belichick is a genius. How else do you explain the press going gaga over a defensive guru who finishes in the bottom three, for three years running? He is a marketing genius. Marketing himself.
F as a genius that is. Bill has been trying to win a SB without receivers so we will all marvel at his coaching skills. Wouldn't it have been better to give a quality QB a couple of quality wideouts? Even one would have gotten them another SB win in the last five years. It's just Belichick being Belichick. Oh wait, does that mean he is intellectually on par with Many Ramirez? Just Manny being Manny. In that case he really is a genius, in just getting the job, especially when you consider he won in New York with others picking the groceries, lost in Cleveland when he picked the groceries, won in New England with the previous coaches groceries, yet since he has been picking the groceries no SB wins. Anybody see a pattern here. Certainly Bob Kraft doesn't see it or he'd get a draft and free agent precialist. Belichick's genius can be wrapped up in a single word...Brady. Unfortunately Belichick is a roadblock to Brady's success, not the cause of it. And now you know the actually story.

Genius hunter actually makes sense. In sports as in politics the press and person of interest would have you believe that all the good things that happen are do to them and the bad things would have been worse without them. BUT in really it's really more likely to be just the opposite, namely that all the bad things are due directly to them and the good things would have been better if they weren't in it for themselves. Holds true for coaches, players, owners, governors, senators and presidents. Simulations show that each year since Reagan left office, the US would have done better with no president or congress than we actually did. And especially since Obama took over. Boy that's sad. Simulations also show that had the Pats not let Belichick make the selection and instead had just league average picks, they would have won three additional SBs all because of the difference Brady makes. It's a shame when a player deserves to win but is held back by a team that can't figure out how to draft, and worse wont admit they don't know how to draft when the facts are smacking them in the face, year after year, after year. Put Brady on Denver and you'd have a LeBron situation. Not two, not three. You get the idea, but Manning will find a way to screw it up, he always does. Think he has a nervous disorder the press wont confirm. Only way to explain all the victories he has thrown away.

I never said Brady would or should make way for TT and I find it laughable too that some people believe TT should get some playing time while Brady is still playing. I simply stated TT should be used in short yardage and goal line situations wherever that may be. Like him or not, TT can play some football and he's a beast in those situations.
Do I think he's a starting caliber QB in the NFL? Nope. I really think he should play in Canada or the Arena league and hone his throwing skills then make an attempt at the NFL again but obviously the NFL pays more and gives TT his platform to spread his evangelical message. TT said that himself if anyone gets upset by that.
The field is too big in Canada for Tebow's passing skills, in the Arena football league all they do is pass so he would fail there also. James McNear of the Omaha BEEF said Tebow should come play behind him so he could teach him how to be a QB. Now we are talking Jame McNear not Steve McNair how embarrassing is that?

When Belichick gets a load of Tebow's elongated throwing motion and horrible accuracy he will be lucky to be on the taxi squad.

You still haven't told me why Tebow lovers need to see him play football when it's obvious he doesn't have the talent too.

lol really good post It's been a long time that I enjoyed one like this lol Drafting Brady could have been luck also I don't think Belichick intended on using Brady, He had no choice after Bledsoe went down Maybe it's was genius in drafting Brady in the first place but if Belichick really knew Brady's talent's I think he would have drafted him earlier don't you think?

Belichick is a great, great coach. By that I mean he teaches individual skills at the position level and is very good at scheming the defense. That being said, Belichick has no business being a head coach. Pats have won SBs despite his leadership. He can't draft. His FA selections are poor at best. they won with players picked by previous coaches and can't win with the guys Belichick picks. Let someone else do the personnel selections and maybe the Pats will squeeze by, but better yet, make BB a coordinator and get a real head coach. He is the perfect example of the Peter principle (getting promoted one level beyond where he best fits in) all to the detriment of the Pats. BB is an inspite of vice a because of type of guy at the head coach position. The Pats win inspite of him not because of him. Take away Brady and the Pats are fighting Buffalo for third in their division. If the Pats insist on keeping BB as head coach, at least get a draft and free agent personnel specialist as many others have stated. Why are the Pats so pig-headed about letting him ruin player personnel decisions? Is he trying to say hey look at me and how much I accomplish with such limited skilled players? Why not just pick better players, teach them which is his strong point and let Brady win the whole thing for them?

I agree New england the last few drafts hasn't been in the top 10. Why hasn't Belichick drafted a wide receivers for Brady, instead he brings in the vikes Jenkins. Like most teams I think if you take away the QB the team will crumble. Take Aaron Rodgers from the Packers & how good would that team be without him. I never thought of Bilichick as a genius coach I think if he was one he wouldn't have needed to spy on a team to beat them.

Sorry, can't answer that pal. I'm not a TT lover, supporter or admirer of any kind. You'll have to ask one of them.

In fact, I'm basically anti-TT but I was just being a little objective because the dude could be lethal in goal line situations in any arena.

Yours truly,

P.S.- Here's a little info that might help you uncoordinated chumps... To walk in a straight line, put one foot directly in front of the other. Are you Skip Bayless? He is the only other person I have heard to defend him mercilessly.

Your logic is backwards 31 teams didn't give Tebow a thought not even Jacksonville wanted the hometown hero. One team did and you think the 31 are crazy.

Maybe it's just the QB position you know nothing about so let me test you. Who is the best QB you have ever seen? Mine is Aaron Rodgers, what say you?

Tebow is a Patriot, I'm not a Brady fan because he's one dimensional and a product of the Belichick system but how do you think he will feel if Tebow came in for him in goal line situations? Brady already scoffed at the idea.

I'm no Pats fan but Brady has done incredibly well being that he was a 6th round pick I believe and to do what he's done in the NFL is phenomenal. The guy is about as accurate as it gets and he's got a great feel for the game and tempo Belichick or not.

If TT was used in Brady's position I would expect Brady to put an end to it and for Belichick to lose his job deservedly. There is no way ever that TT should ever, ever come in for Brady. Ever. Anyone who thinks TT should knows nothing about football.

On the flip side, if TT was playing for a team like JAX, then I could understand if he came in in SY and GL situations but not for the Pats. LOL

Jacksonville has Blaine Gabbert a bum yet they said no to the idea of bringing their hometown hero back that should tell you everything you need to know about TIm Tebow's ability.
