Avant Smith was 15 of 35 for 214 yards & had 3 INTs. You got to admit Geno had a poor performance tonight. As bad as Ponder's last week, But a different game could be a different story. I guess that can be said of both QBs.(:/)

Avant you will love What Brian Billick has to say Here - Ponder, who was taken with the 12th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, is the poster child for a group of recent QB draftees who jumped into the first round because of a drafting team's need as opposed to pure ability. This group includes Jake Locker (taken No. 8 overall in 2011), Gabbert (No. 10 in 2011), Ryan Tannehill (No. 8 in 2012) and Brandon Weeden (No. 22 in 2012). Ponder spent a lot of time operating a pro-style offense at Florida State. The problem is that the same issues that troubled him as a Seminole -- being too mechanical in the pocket, staring down receivers and employing a slow throwing motion -- continue to hinder him in the pros

3 interception in a torrential downpour we see the confidence Marty Mornhinweg has in Geno throwing out of his endzone.

It's as if Billick is reading what I have to say and repeating it.

Didn't I tell you they would come out of the woodwork if they perceived Geno Smith had a bad game however wrong their perception is.

excuses, excuses, excuses. Geno Smith stinks up the field and Avant shows his man-love for him is never ending.

Smith was just drafted way to early. He was a 4th rounder at best!

The woodwork????
Since the draft and Marino thread you were told.
1st You had Culpepper and you thought he led the 98 Vikings.Damn man.
2nd T.Jackson and we all know how he made you look
3rd and strike 3 Geno Smith who is T.Jackson.
Yea all this qb talk and all the wasted space.
Tebow would have won that game.Smith has looked terrible in 6 of 8 Q'sThe only good 2 were 2nd half adjustments last week for screens and rinky dinks.Thank the Jets coaching for that and they still should of lost to Tampa.
Smith will be gone and quick,he's nothing.

I think Geno Smith was a solid second round QB.. At the time of the draft I had said EJ Manuel was the better of the two & I still think that. No way was Smith a first round pick & that being said the same can be said of Ponder, He should have been a second round pick. Billick couldn't have been more right about the Vikes drafting Ponder. They drafted Ponder because of a need & not for his ability. What I don't get about Ponder is why can't he learn to read a defense? I thought he was this super smart guy coming out of college. Why can't he learn to read a defense, three years later & he still hasn't learned to read one. I sure hope he plays a lot better in this Bears game. Knock on wood..... VIKINGS HO!

Ponder's problem is other than Locker, Gabbert every your QB who starts from day 1 looks like they belong.

Bears are a physical team Ponder's kryptonite tomorrow will be a long day for us.

Watching Bridgwater and Brett Hundley as I type. Hopefully one one of these guys are Vikings next year. 2014 there are at least four great QB in the draft certainly we will get one.

Brady sucked because of the downpour and great Jets young defense.

Avant - stop talking about college football QBs. It is improper for you to jinx them with your curse at such a young age. Wait till they get to the draft. Then lay your curse upon them.

And stop cursing the Vikings QBs. Start talking about Green Bay or Chicago or Detroit...teams that your a big fan of!
