Sort of,
with the 1st pick in the 2013 draft,
The Minnesota Vikings (my team)
select
1)Kevin Minter ILB LSU
2)Manti Te'o ILB Notre Dame
3) Alex Ogletree OLB Georgia
This area is the teams biggest need.Greenway was drafted in 06 a 7 year vet getting on in years. We have nobody else at LB.
Wr we have Harvin and Wright,a need for more but no impact player will exist at 23.Some will argue Allen, etc but I think we go receiver later, just like getting Childs and wright rd 4 last season. Some say safty,I doubt it,same on the OL.DT,maybe, but it will have to be a lights out guy, plus I think the above 3 are more lights out anyway.
Ladiesssssssssssssssss and Gentlemen,
Childress just set the bar, round 1.

Linebacker need is a given. My problem is you and the receivers. Wright will never be what I need as a receiver, Childs is hurt AGAIN.

If the Vikings think so much of Ponder our first pick should be a receiver. Keenan Allen, Cordarrelle Patterson, DeAndre Hopkins, Tavon Austin robert Woods. One of these guys would be mt first round pick If I knew we had a QB who could get them the ball.

We need playmakers next year to help Peterson and Harvin and to carry Ponder.

I'm watching Te'o as I speak not knowing his 40 time he doesn't look athletic enough for first round pick. After his 40 I will give my final opinion.

I will not draft Te'o in first round he ran a 4.8 40 and as I said he is not athletic enough for my team.

)Kevin Minter is not a first round pick either. You are 1 for 3 Ogletree is your only linebacker that would make my team.

Ignore the trolls,as far as a direct response.
All the LB's mentioned except for 1 have a descent shot at being there when we pick.Te'o and Ogletree will fall because of 1 having an arrest record,1 having 1 weird story. The 3 listed are 1st round players and 3 of the top 4 per draft scout and any other reputable site.Wr allen had a slow time and has a suspect knee.No more Child experiences and not in the 1st rd.
Unbelievably this Vegas loser came back to where nobody wants him or talks to him.
Amazes me how the outcast cling to the bonded participants in this forum.
I would suggest EZG and Avant start their own threads and stay there. They don't deserve to be with the best.

Draft scout is a good site.Click on the player of your choice for all the info you need.
Fox spots claims the 40 time is not indicative of a players ability. They say the 10 and 20 yd time is more of an indicator.
I hope Audie Cole comes to life in Purple and a starter this season.

Slow down there Seabiscuit. Can't even figure out what team needs are until after FA ends. Have no clue which of the FA on the team they will lose or resign - Henderson, Brinkley, Sanford, or Loadholt. Draft priorities will hinge on that. If they don't resign both LBs then that becomes top priority. If the resign one then they will probably look at a later round.

The story about Te'o has nothing to do with why his stock has fallen. The 4.8 40 is why he and childress other slow Linebacker Minter are not first round picks. Childress football brain fails again. There has never been a linebacker who ran a 4.8, drafted in the first round.

Let me put it this way. If Te'o ran a 4.6 40, he would be a sure first round pick. CASE CLOSE!

Glad Chidress started this post for SLOW linebackers. After Aprils draft I going to re-post showing him he knows nothing about NFL talent.

As usual, don't feed the trolls.I made the mistake of indirectly speaking to the Vegas one, won't happen again. As far as ezg,he ain't living nothing down. The reminder stays in effect.Used 1 of his classic blunders in 1 of his last post "them" instead of "those".This ezg is going to admit who he is and explain everything and then he's still going to get his.Com ing in here using a new name,V.Nation and spending his every breath lying again.Just a terrible person.A complete embarrassment to himself,God and country.Every single person in the forum and the Packer forum has concurred VNation is ezg,it's been proven by all,yet this "it' still lies and insults every single persons intelligent every day.I loath this toad.

If a linebacker doesn't run faster than 4.8 they can't be a 3 down lineman. That leaves out 2 of Chidress 3 linebackers. He sure knows how to pick them.

Depending on Audie Cole,if he elevates to starting MLB.My preference will be Te'o,Ogletree,Minter.I'm high on all 3 of these guys and would be pumped getting 1 of them.DT,DE,CB are my other preferences, but has to be an impact guy.

Every sports network is making fun of Te'o because he said in every 40 he ran between 4.5 and 4.6. This was after he ran a 4.82 and still CHILDRESS Insist on saying Te'o is number 1 on his linebacker board.

APRIL'S draft is going to be fun putting childress in his place AGAIN.

Audie Cole is a lifetime backup. CHILDRESS knows nothing about linebackers and the speed one needs to play the position.

I guarantee within a week CHILDRESS will not mention Te'o again.

CHILDRESS has made his bed I am going to make him lie in it!

To hard to tell.. There are lots of unknowns with Harvin right now. They need a true #1 WR. With the 1st pick I see the Vikes trading it to move back and gain another pick. From there it is wide open to land the WR DT LB and maybe even S or CB they need. With a late 1st 2nd 3rd and maybe another 3rd from moving back they will be in great shape.

As you said we don't have a number 1 receiver so that should be our first pick. Management is talking linebacker first which says to me they think it's a waste of time drafting a receiver first without a QB who could get him the ball.
We are being held hostage by an injury prone inaccurate QB who management has no confidence in.
