What We've Learned About the Minnesota Vikings Through 2 Games

Patterson took one to the house on the opening kickoff and Ponder got off the hot seat, giving Vikings fans reason to believe Minnesota can turn things around when it returns home in Week 3. David Banks/Getty Images but they still suffered a 31-30 loss to the Chicago Bears on a last-second drive orchestrated by quarterback Jay Cutler .

I learned Erin Henderson sucks at MLB.
I watched the vikes/bears game last night and he was absolute horrible. I am able to rewind nd rewatch every play. It was funny and sad all at the same time. He looks so lost out there and is completely in effective. Iím not talking about his coverage, which I didnít see many balls thrown his way, but against the run. Maybe the vikes should try Bishop there or someone else because this experiment has failed. But then again Bishop is a backup WLB? Hard to imaging but the vikes miss Brinkly.
Do any of the viking fans have concerns about him? You should if you don't.
Yes GB, had some concerns about Henderson when I learned they were plugging him into MLB during the off season, but I'm a wait and see type so I guess I'm now seeing. Actually, I miss his older brother E.J. more than Brinkley. There are many things the Vikes need to try different, it may be a one thing at a time fix and another mediocre season. I'm a die-hard Viking fan, but the way the season is going so far, its a good thing I dont rely on my team alone for my nfl entertainment. IMO Ponder has actually started playing a bit better, but still has some bad habits ( did you see him staring down Simpson when he threw the pick 6?) I still believe the coaches should open the play book wide open, and let the chips fall where they may. And if what we are seeing IS Musgraves entire play book its time for a new OC, it may be that time regardless. Thoughts?

Brinkley was nothing compared to EJ but not many were. EJ was a beast and was always around the football. He was fun to watch. We still have to wait and see about the LBs I guess -according to Greenway who pretty much said I should shut my pie hole because I donít know what the vikes are trying to do and are coached to do. He is right to an extent, it easy to criticize as fans. I just didnít know the vikes were coaching there LBs to get blocked out of the screen while am watching the game. Who knew?

Ponder might be getting a tiny bit better but hard to say. He hasnít changed is wildly inconsistent play that is for sure and I think that is his biggest problem. If his first read is not open then he is going to struggle or make a good play with his feet. Both games have been on the road where he normally sucks so letís see him at home a few times. He has better WRs this year but also may take some time to gel with the new guys. For now my opinion is he sucks and I would never want him as my starting QB. He has a long way to go to change that.

They have back to back home games against crap teams (Browns and Steelers). If they can win those games they might have a shot at turning the season around. They lose one of them it will get ugly; the rest of the schedule is tough.

If you can call playing the Steelers in London a "home" game.
