Where are all the Tea Baggers who used to publicly condemn Obama for giving away welfare to those unworthy of it?

The Tea Baggers called him a monkey, a communist, a marxist, a fascist --- they created placards of him wearing Nazi uniforms, wearing savage loin cloths, and said everything stupid about him because he gave away taxpayer money.

Today, Dayton along with political Democrats and Republicans want to give away another one billion taxpayer dollars to finance a new Vikings football stadium. Why give away more money to wealthy elites when Bush and Obama already gave them trillions???

WHERE ARE THE TEA BAGGERS NOW????

What an idiot! The difference is that this proposal will actually put people to work and will bring revenue to the state\city. It is not going to support the hordes of lazy people who don't want to work and be productive members of society. obama has done more harm to this country than any foreign threat, he has weakened this country and spent more money than ALL presidents before him COMBINED, which our kids and grand kids will pay for! One thing that you don't realize is that the majority of taxes are paid by those who make more money, so let's punish those who actually succeed and pay taxes while we benefit those who don't. I have an idea, why don't we stop giving anything to the 49.5% of the country who do not pay any taxes and live off those of us who pay! There will always be scumbag politicians but the number of dullards who do zero research and vote based on what they are fed from CNN or MSNBC is what will ruin this country! WAKE UP!

Well said. It doesn't take a genius to figure out the direct benefits of an NFL stadium, to a community. So much so, that I can overlook/compremise with the libertarian in me...lol.

The other difference is... this is a state funding a project that affects the state. The Vikings aren't going bankrupt, they're looking for assistance in building a stadium.... The state can choose to partner up or let the team move to LA, so LA can benefit.

There are so many people that just don't think! Seriously, how do they expect to make it when the jackass in the white house spends borrowed money like there is no tomorrow and half of the country pays no taxes? It is not sustainable! Look at how much money the metrodome brought in over it's lifetime, countless events and people, but the welfare left keeps complaining because the team wants help building a stadium that will bring in even more people who will spend money to benefit everyone.

I am in 100% agreement with you, and while we are at it, let's decimate the Lions so they play at their 1985-2005 level.

I don't know why anyone needs to resort to name calling unless it is to openly display a lack of maturity. But such is the usual tactic of the small minded who lack class and an adult state of mind.

While the money invested in a new stadium may create jobs state revenues will be diverted from other projects. Therefore, contrary to the usual calls from the paid media or the agents of team owners, there is no NET job gain. As we saw both in Minneapolis and in St Paul: when monies were used to pay for stadiums, monies were taken away from schools and other vital services. We LOST several hundred teachers, firefighters, and police because we no longer had the money to pay them. While many projects will now go without the financing they need, the Vikings ownership will pulling in more money at taxpayer expense. As every study shown on the subject, municipal investments in pro stadiums do NOT yield profits as other needed essential services and needs go unfunded.

See the following site and study its findings rather than to act in an immature manner by resorting to childish name calling:

I know, I think it is funny. Maybe they should worry about working and paying taxes for once oh and voting for someone who was not trying to ruin our country.

You lost police, fire and teachers because of their unions and the fact that we pay an crazy union wages to cover early retirement for far too many. I have nothing against those great public servants, I have an issue with their crooked unions. The same unions that gave millions to get the socialist in the White house, maybe they could have given those millions to the workers and they could have kept their jobs?
Go be a troll elsewhere!
