No I think Cobb will! ;)

You're a touchy little guy. Watch his highlights, I watched every game he played last year and he was one of few draft worthy talents UT had last year other then Justin Hunter. Patterson was a shining star on a lack luster team. His stats speak for themselves, I was sad to see him enter the draft his Junior year but guys like him tend to go early because they're THAT DAMN GOOD. I hoped the Redskins would have somehow got him, but we didn't have a first round pick. I call em like I see em and a good example is my ability to admit how bad Tyler Bray sucks and I'm glad he's gone. CP will have you cussing when he proves himself next season, he's a beast. As for Tebow and Gator fans, both suck IMO.
Obviously he was draft worthy. He WAS drafted! But you are merely making a prediction. Patterson may turn into a superstar, but saying that he will is NOT what will make it happen. My point was that many good college players don't make it at the NFL level or are not the impact player that people anticipated they would be. And it is often true even of players that had fantastic highlight filled college careers. Only time will tell. You joined this discussion in the middle. I don't dislike Patterson and I'm not predicting that he will suck. Viking fans are acting as if he can change Christian Ponder into a great QB. That is a tall order for any player, let alone a rookie.

Wilson can throw down field. So I think Harvin will be targeted less in Seatlle. For Harvin to lead the league in receiving he would have to do more with fewer touches. So I don't think he will lead the league in catches or yards. However, it would be reasonable to assume that Harvin will play well and help the Seahawks just as it is reasonable to assume Jennnings will play well and help the Vikings. The question is: How much? Seattle was playing very well at the end of last season. A player like Harvin may give them that little extra they need.

I'm not at all bias because of my UT fan hood is my point. The spoof video is a good example of a UT fans mindset. When a player or coach SUCKS, we're the first ones to say so. TN fans are nothing like Florida fans that will blindly follow any player due to his alma mater. Tebow fans really do make me sick, he's a shining example of the players you spoke of that shine in college and suck in the NFL. As for whether CP will make Ponder a better QB, only time will tell. I see CP as a guy they will target in the flats and on screen plays a lot because of his ability to make plays after the catch. His ability to catch the long pass leaves a LOT to be desired. It's gonna be an interesting season to say the least. HTTR

Don't worry about CP catching long passes. Christian Ponder isn't very good at throwing them. He will probably fit in well. There was a reason Percy Harvin was the Vikings best receiver. CP may also be Ponder's main target.

You just said there was no way to project if a player turns out so shut youre fly trap.I saw you and Eric talking in that other thread about how good the Packers will be and how unstoppable youll be now that you drafted 2 running backs. So I guess its a double standard.Ponder threw fine in week 17 including long.If he had done that the first game we would have swept the Packers.According to you theres a good chance Detone Jones will be a failure so that should give Ponder plenty of time to pass.

I hope Jennings stays healthy.Dont you think the Packers are kinda short on recievers?Their going to have to play either an undrafted reciever or a seventh rounder as their fourth guy. When they were at their best they had 4-5 recievers sometimes even 6.

Lol, all I worry about is RG3 being 100% before he's put into another game and the Redskins draft picks maturing into great players ASAP. You Viking and Packers fans can battle it out from here, I'm sure I can find a Cowboys fan to annoy somewhere :p Good luck to both your teams this season and Hail to the REDSKINS!! Hehehe

And if your Aunt had balls she would be your uncle,,whats your point?..
He didnt throw well in Game 1 and GB beat Minn in the playoffs when the chips were down.Bottom Line, end of story..You beat GB in week 18 but didnt get it done in the playoffs!..
bottom line, end of story,,this year is a new year and GB is favored and should be until Minn. or Chi/Det knock them off until then....

Ponder had Harvin for 8 games,Jenkins missed a few,Simpson started suspended.
Ponder threw for almost 3,000 18-12 TD to INT.
I'm sure his #'s would have been higher,if that particular supporting cast played 16 or even close.
I also consider last year as Ponders 1st.
With that said I look forward to the new season.

Thanks man. My favorite play last year was the 76 yard run against you guys. The call on Redskins Radio (the game wasn't televised here) was something that will stick with me till they bury me. Just from listening on Tune-In radio I jumped off the couch and started yelling like a damn idiot. I get chills every time I hear it. Damn, what a moment.

all true I agree. I was hoping the vikes can get Ponder more snaps, if you look at all the QBs Ponder has had less snaps then all of of them. Vick that didn't play the full year had more snaps then Ponder. Its a stat that's got to change.

GB had problems with the option offense/mobile qb,so who does Green Bay get in week 1
SF
week 2
Washington
SO, we will find out early if the coaching school the def.staff went through pays off..( maybe they get better as the year goes on,but, they better start off in good shape,OR the offense better better control the clock better)IF the defense starts next year the way they played SF in the playoffs, they will be off to a shitty start.Of course that was last year, this is a new year, with a few new pieces or guys coming back who will help, theres more tape or film and they have seen it for themselves,SO, adjustments will be made on both sides,,thats the fun of NFL football!

There is no way to project if a player turns out. However, I have no idea how good or unstoppable the Packers will be with rookie running backs. Few rookies make significant impacts for any NFL team. I agree that IF Christian Ponder played better the Vikings would probably win more games, but that is a big IF! And Jones is NOT likely to have a big impact as a rookie since rookies seldom do that. However, Christian Ponder doesn't play all that well even when he has time to pass.

Don't you think the Vikings are kinda short on receivers? Jordy Nelson had as many catches and MORE receiving yards all by himself last year than ALL of the Viking receivers combined have caught from Christian Ponder ever! And Jordy was one of the least productive receivers on the team!

Two minute Tommy gun Kramer to A. Rashad against the Browns was my fav..........80 yds. in 2 plays.........Ted Brown to the 48 then ..........Listened to that on the radio..........lol.

I meant to say Jordy had more yards than all of the Viking wide receivers had ever from Ponder. Ponder does throw to his TEs since he can't throw deep very well!
